PS4 pro price is so sweet why skyrocketing just to include a 4k drive, they wouldn't be able to sell it at 399$ with a 4k optical drive without losing money and they're not in a position of losing money and that from their currently most profitable business...

All three of the major console manufacturers have been through this at least once. All three hath partaken of their own kool-aid. They thought they were on top for good--or, in Microsoft's case, believed they were trending upward to the point that the top was a foregone conclusion.

This is what happens when businesses take the market for granted. Most people are loyal to themselves first and foremost and will switch if it seems like they're going to get a better product or a better deal.

Especially in the gaming business, it should be obvious by now that you cannot predict a generation based on the previous generation. Everyone knows that now. It's quite possible that those in charge have learned their lesson.

Every 15-20$ counts.... and no a UHD blu-ray drive doesnt effect any games visual.

Because of the mandatory cross-compatibility between both PS4s, 4K drive using 100GB discs would have being totally useless for gaming.

But because PS5 will be a clear new gen (Cerny already said this), I see no reason why PS5 wouldn't have a UHD 4K drive for both games and also movies.

They could have do it with Ps3 since the PS1 and PS2 we're dominating and they had a lot of money back then,now they ain't in a position to mess up they are i think in a make or break situation.

They make money from my understanding from PSN,Playstation hardware and Software,Camera Lenses and one more division i think can't remember.

And plus if they get cocky then we get bad games in the end i want to look forward to savage games like Horizon,Last of us 2 etc etc.
