Why though? Just let them step out of the race and make their games Windows exclusives.

If you look at it just Xbox, then yes, but MS is Xbox and PC, in which case I feel they right now delivering the best out of the three.

You're fine. and no I don't mean like I'm hitting on you fine. You're fine. You got a PC and you can still buy MS games. Go buy Gears 4 and join us for a round of Horde. Or try out Forza 3. Killer Instinct etc. Enjoy it on your PC. Its the reason why MS went through the trouble of play anywhere. MS is happy with you buying the games on PC and enjoying it that way.

I personally am glad for my Xbox One S. I'm in the middle of beating the Black Ops campaign and after that I plan on doing a long run through Oblivion. And after that I'll be running through Lost Odyssey before I go join Gears 4 for gearsmas.

To me, Xbox has always been rather bland when compared to Nintendo and Sony's offerings, specially now the Xbox one where they really lack flagship titles. Now that MS wants Xbox consoles and PC to share exclusives, i have even less reason to buy a Xbox console than I did before. I could probably say similar things about Nintendo however, they are also in need of a few more titles. They just struck gold with Splatoon, but if they can get a few more to go along with the usual Mario and Zelda outtings, they would be golden. Still, Nintendo geniuenly cares for their craft (based on the quality of their games) which is something that I think MS lacks.

They've definitely made great efforts to turn their nightmare reveal around but there's still lots of work to do.

I want to agree, but even as a windows user I can't play their most important franchise, halo. So, I need to buy the xbox, but if I'm going to buy the xbox I need more than one franchise. Are they going to develop all the games for windows and xbox, cool I'm fine with that, but if I need your console to play your most important franchise then I need more.

All the exclusive games they showed at psx won't be here for a while pretty much and will be 2018 at the EARLIEST. They always end up delayed or what not. Microsoft has deliver one of the best racers, sand box game, fighting game, third person and first person shooter. This year alone we gotten Quantum Break, Killer Instinct season 3, Forza Horizon 3, Gears 4, Recore and soon Dead Rising 4. That is pretty good and a lot better in my opinion than Sony had to offer this year. I liked uncharted 4 a lot , but didn't care for sf5 due to lack of content and terrible netcode/delay. Not sure how TLG is going to be, but it looks rather disappointing to be quite honest. And yes I know a lot of the xbox games are on the PC as well, but a lot of people don't view pc machines as viable gaming machines. 

They are, but truthfully, was 2005 through 2008 any different in third party development quality from Microsoft? Sure...Halo and Gears are developed solely by in-house studios now, but has anything truly changed?

MS has been delivering a pretty damn solid list of games so far, can't complain myself. I could see myself gaming on playstation if Xbox was underperforming but nintendo? Nah I'd rather find a new hobby, really.

Over half the things they showed comes out next year lol
