I think they've always been "interesting" I'm not really sure what that means, it did go a little down hill after gamecube though, for home consoles anyway.

Super Mario Sunshine gets too much hate!

There are many reasons it gets hate..

That opinion is hold by most people that played it, something you didn't.

I've noticed that a lot of your posts have been very bitter/aggressive recently. Don't let the hate get to you, try and focus on the positive!

Yeah, I have a rule to avoid posting in the mornings because of this but I'm always breaking it, dam it.

Quite ironic my only positive comment today was for The last of us 2 lol nice trailer.

It's understandable, must be frustrating some times lol.

Opinions! Though that one is held by only a small minority for good reason.

Yeah, for some reason the game continues to get unnecessary hate. It really is quite a joy to play.

I think it kinda boils down to expectations.

If you are expecting Switch to be a market leading type of system that redefines game play and all that jazz (ie: the second coming of the Wii or DS) for the sake of market share bragging or has tons of the best third party support because you want it to compete directly with the PS4/XB1 ... you're likely not going to be happy.

If you just want a Nintendo system that has a lot of games on it without all the damn droughts ... you'll probably be happy with the Switch. The sheer ability to combine their library output will over the course of even 3-4 years result in a lot of good Nintendo games on the system, whatever third parties bring is gravy.

This. for the life of me I cant understand why people care so much about this and why it dictates their enjoyment of a system, especially on this site. People will disappear for years on end and lurk when their company of choice starts doing bad. Its sad.

I think you need to broaden your horizons.

The Wii U was a mess up thats all.... with the Switch Nintendo will be back in form.
We ll get a 3D collecathon style mario game, and a new Zelda game early in its lifetime, and that alone will carry its sales.

Hopefully their software output is many times what the Wii U's was, since they only have 1 system now to make games for.

Reguardless get a PS4 as well, and whatever situation the Switch ends up with, you ll be fine.

See, the problem is, this only works if they have the guts to kill the 3DS. If they wimp out and keep it on life support, Switch will not get their full software output and this whole unified library thing will blow away like a fart in the wind.

Nintendo is scary in their superiority over all other gaming platforms. They are the DreamWorks, or Barney of video game companies. They also work benevolently making games for joy and not just profit. They have always been good and anyone who believes differently has a lot of soul searching to do.

Unfortunately, they still have bad practices around like delays with zero benefits for their fans.
