The ds and 3ds kicked ass, nothing but praise there but I will agree that the switch is looking a million times better than the Wii and Wii u

Splatoon is not their first new IP in a long time they have released 80 new IPs since 2001. They had a shit load of them on DS and Wii,not all made it out of Japan but they still count as NEW IPs. Also Xenoblade because it is first party. In fact the entire OR trilogy were new NIntendo owned IPs. Nintendo is constantly releaing new IPs but people choose to ignore it for whatever reason.

Wii U Splatoon is not meant to be people's first choice of console shooter but a complementary one. That means for every PC, PS4, or Xbox copy of Call of Duty or Battlefield Nintendo sells a Wii U copy of Splatoon as well and in the end will outsell them all! 240m 60m at least!

The Wii U was a slap in the face to Wii owners. The 3DS wasn't that great of a successor but it seems to have kicked Sony out of the handheld space so it did it's job.

Nintendo is back to being old Nintendo again instead of stupid Nintendo.

I think this is Nintendo's generation again.

I watched a podcast not long ago where John Lucas said that he was dissapointed at Nintendo for killing the Wii U.

Wii U was a huge decline in quality after the Wii. This dampens my excitement for the switch. The Zelda game only looks good because most Zelda games after A Link to The Past had sucky overworlds. Which is one of the best things about Zelda. However I am still not sold on the new zelda. Skyward Sword had potential too but it sucked so bad I stop trusting Nintendo after that. I rather just buy Skyrim at launch. At least I know that is a good game.

Also I still think NES mini is a cash grab. It is a quality cash grab but it still makes it a cash grab.

You've missed quite the renassaince already. If you haven't played Galaxy, Xenoblade, Fatal Frame, Bayonetta, Splatoon, Smash 4, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, Mario 3D World, Skyward Sword, ect. You owe it to yourself to get a Wii U (which in turn is backwards compatible with Wii) and begin gaming good sir.
