Action-adventure because of Zelda

Japanese RPG.

The character designs, in-depth story, setting, themes and long hours of gameplay giving them amazing value.

This gen, hack and slash became my genre of choice, but jrpgs are my typical go to.

Platformers, both and 2D and 3D. I just almost always have fun playing through levels in platformers.

JRPG's. They are the best genre for fleshing out a world and give a good amount of freedom to define gameplay.

Turn based strategy games like Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Civilization, XCOM, etc...

Because it is more about strategy than reaction time. Don't get me wrong I like FPS and action games but I just feel chill when playing a TBS.

Action adventure,third person shooters, and definitely hack n slash

RPGs, but more specifically, JRPGs because they have a solid battle and leveling up system which I like to play

Medieval RPG (Dragon Age, The Witcher, Dragon's Dogma, etc). I love the idea of Dragons and swords. I mean, I can play Dragon Age over and over but can't get into Mass Effect because of the space setting. Leveling, looting, and customization are key!

RPGs cos Xenoblade is still produced, and I still trust dragon quest, then there is the platformers cos Nintendo is special with those, Zelda is fantastic also
I play other good games, good games cos they are good
