Assuming the Eurogamer rumor is real will the NX marketshare be a 9th gen system or will it share marketshare with the home consoles or handhelds?

If its a hybrid, it may just replaced the handheld section and be by itself until Sony or Microsoft decides to join.

But after 2017, maybe it will replace the Wii U since the legs in those sales are done and Nintendo won't bother shipping anymore units.

Another question is when will smartphone game app downloads be tracked? Now that Nintendo is making smartphone games and billions of people have downloaded one game app by now, wouldn't it be time to track those sales? They can obviously have its own table as well.

Well, the rumor makes it sound like a handheld so... it will be a handheld and replacing the 3ds.

I think since the device is a handheld and requires a docking station to be a home console, it should be tracked under handheld.

Going off the rumors it's a handheld first and foremost, so it should replace 3DS tracking.
