At least one person is dead and two others are injured after a machete-wielding man allegedly attacked passersby on a German street.

The suspect is believed to have randomly hacked at members of the public in the town of Reutlingen, south of Stuttgart, this afternoon.

A woman was killed in the horrific attack, while at least two others suffered unspecified injuries, according to local media.

The man, thought to have been acting alone, was reportedly arrested by police at the scene.

If he is a refugee, there is a chance to send him back. But even these things are way too complicated for everyone's good.

I get pretty scared walking in large crowds of people because anything like that can happen for that reason. I read and research a lot on these things because it's good to know how some people dealt with the situation. We can never be fully prepared for horrible events like this but knowing what to do helps greatly.

He sounds mentality diranged. I don't believe in life in prison or the death penalty but I do believe that people should not be freed unless there is a reliable way to vet their mental status.  Does anyone know the success rate of rehabilitation in the German system?
