Forums - Politics Discussion - Syrian refugee kills woman and injures 2 others in machete attack in Germany

Too many refugees... europe shouldnt have to take in all these people.
They need to build military bases in the countries they flee from and setup some camps for them to live in instead.

Most of them arnt really refugees either, they just dont want to live in their own countries, so the flee them, not because they need too, but because they rather be somewhere else. Thats immigration. Many of them pass by lots of countries, because they rather live in sweden or german, where they can get the most help.

Real life inprisonment? I know they have 'life' inprisonment in some countries but it doesn't actually mean life.

The maximum on paper is 15 years, but there's something called "Sicherungsverwahrung". If you are considered as a menace to societe, you stay in jail indefinitely.

I always hear people saying that europe shouldn't have taken so many refugees in and so on, but I never hear the alternative.

What would have you suggested during the masses of refugees coming into your country?

Shoot them? Sending them back to where they came from, which can also lead to their death? You know, if you are bind by law, that you take refugees in, and you've agreed to this terms, then it kinda makes this so called conept laws questionable which you agreed to obey in the first place.

What they should have done is created guarded safe zones within Syria and/or made neighbouring Muslim countries accept more refugees where they could've assimilated into society better. Anyone can just throw their passport into the Mediterranean and claim they're a refugee and be accepted into Europe. It's fucked up

Most migration is internal migration and to neighbouring countries though (exept for countries like Saudi-Arabia, which does absolutely nothing).

Creating hotspots in these countries to do checks would have been easier, since transport by air to Europe is actually safer and cheaper and it would be much more efficiënt to weed out terrorists.

Also, don't mistake Merkels policy as an act of kindness to these people. While Europe should definitly clean up the mess which is the refugee crisis (and which Europe had a large part in making), the main reason why so many refugees are let in is because the German economy, for all it's diversiveness and high manufacturing standards, really keeps growing as much as it is because of cheap mass labour in export industries. Since labour laws got a bit more difficult, companies wanted a fresh influx of cheap labour. The refugee crisis was for Merkel an excellent way of absorbing a lot of these people in German wage slave labour.

I also have to add, if it isn't a refugee or foreigner who goes nuts, a native will gladly take that place instead.

BUT, going by refugee, we don't know what he went through, warcrimes etc. It could destabilize your mind and you go nuts.

It doesn't really work like that. If a native would go nuts then foreigners doing so aren't going to stop them from doing that. It's just going to add foreigners doing it to the native ones meaning there's more incidents overall regardless.

That's not what I am saying. I am saying that, if a foreigner does a crime, it goes all over the news with consequences of why we take them in in the first place and so on.

But if the same crime is being done by a native person, then it's rather a meh. Couldn't be avoided. That's just life. Let's get on with it.

Just saying.

That's partially true. It means 15 years in prison. After the 15 years, the prisoner can apply for parole, which will be rejected if the person is still considered a threat to society. Then the prisoner gets the chance again years later. I don't know of any countries that doesn't have some way of keeping dangerous people in prison for the rest of their lives, though it has different names for different countries. In Norway it's for instance called preventive detention, which is basicly equivalent to life imprisonment in Germany. The "life imprisonment" sentence in Norway is something completely different though, and only exists in military penal code.

He was arrested? How disappointing. Don't think Germany has a death penalty either so he'll be walking free in 20 or so years.

Dude, no core EU-country has the death penalty. It's considered inhuman and cruel according to official EU policy.

That's one of the major reasons the EU is contemplating to stop the EU accession negotiations with turkey, since Erdogan has publicly contemplated reintroducing it in turkey.

Merkels refugee policy was one of the biggest fuck ups of all time

So how would you have prevented it? Build a wall and make the Mexicans pay for it?

It's actually fairly simple to prevent something like this, but it is not the political correct way. We need to do background checks on everyone who migrates into a country. We should give refugees a year or so to find work or for the younger ones to go to school. If after one year it turns out they did nothing to achieve this, like so many do in my country, then they will be send back. If a refugee commits any crime whatsoever, doesn't matter what degree, they have to return immediately. In my country Geert Wilders is the leader of the Dutch party of Freedom and he wants to implement similar rules. I think this will be most effective because IS(IS) followers or radical muslims in general can be very sceptible to violence and crimes like the guy from Nice and now this machete attack, but also plan their attacks by doing nothing productive.

Most importantly, get Merkel to stop sucking muslim dick.

Oh surprise surprise another and look who the culprit is.

The biggest fuck ups of all time was how anyone legitimately criticizing this politic was qualified of fascist/racist. Anyone not thinking the socialist way is a nazi nowadays
