Inside Out - I had no idea it was going to be that good or that mature.

I was so hyped by the trailers for it... then when I watched it I was just let down.

I dont understand what everyone seems to love about it.

Is pretty easy to understand, there are few animation films in history with such a brilliant and didactic screenplay. They way they represented something so complex in a way that even a kid can mostly understand it is genious and that combined with the always superb animation, humour and charm of Pixar is the bomb.

Frozen. Haters made it seem like tripe but it was pure magic.

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.

I understand all that.... and still think its not a great movie.

So you understand that the screenplay is genious and the animation is superb... but you don't think is a great movie.

You just didn't like it then, wich is something different.

Zootopia. After finding Frozen and Big Hero 6 pretty meh, I expected just a regular Disney movie but it became my favorite movie this year so far.

Yeah, I liked that very much, too. ^^

90% of people only cared for Let it Go.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Frozen was actually a very good movie.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I like Frozen but after Tangled it wasn't "surprisingly good" for me, I expected it to be good.

Same goes for Zootopia and Inside Out which I already expected to like when I saw the trailers (I'm more surprised that those two were mentioned by others in this thread, it seems people didn't expect much especially from Zootopia).

Animation movies are the only entertaining family movies these days anyway, Hollywood is not capable anymore of producing good live action comedies or family entertainment. At least in my opinion.

Other animation movies which I found surprisingly good (besides Cloudy with Chances of Meatballs and Fantastic Mr. Fox which I mentioned earlier):

Despicable Me

Hotel Transylvania

12 Angry Men

Enjoyed it a lot. It's about 12 jury members deciding on what seems to be a clear cut murder case. I love how they integrated the character's story and personality into their decision making.

Not surprised it's ranked so high (#6) on IMDB's top 250 best movies of all time. If you've never seen it, you should check it out.

Yes, 12 Angry Men is also for me one of the best movies ever made. People who rarely watch old movies (i.e. pre- first Star Wars/Godfather) have so much to discover.

To Kill a Mockingbird, The Philadelphia Story, Taxi Driver, Some Like It Hot, Touch of Evil, Rear Window... to name just a few.

Warcraft.

Thought it would be mediocre, but it was really great.
