Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What are the Nintendo franchises that you want to, but never got around to?

I never played any games in the Fire Emblem, Phoenix Wright, or Professor Layton series.  Would like to give each a shot one of these days, especially Professor Layton.

I've played Animal Crossing for GC back in the day but never got into it, just wasn't my thing.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Sin & Punishment and Star Fox. I wanted to play Star Successor, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Same with Star Fox. I want to try Star Fox Zero, but the reviews make me unsure about getting it. Still, I would like to try out Star Fox 64 3D sometime.

I have played Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, but I never finished it. It was too difficult to me. I would like to give the franchise another chance with Fire Emblem Awakening, though.

The Wario games. Man, every time I look at a video on one being played they look like so much fun! But for various reasons, I never get around to playing them. Maybe I'm short on cash at the time, maybe some other game that I want to play more comes along and grabs my attention away. But Wario always seems to slip through my fingers. But I vow I will play a Wario game one day!

Wario Land or WarioWare? Both are fine series, but that's an important distinction.

Animal Crossing: Never played any game of this series.

Kirby: I'm ashamed to say that I never tried one of its games, not sure if Planet Robobot is a good representative of the franchise, but I'm planning to buy it soon.

Xenoblade: JRPGs are my favourite games, but I can't get into this one. I own the original for the Wii but was never able to put more than five or six hours in the game before dropping it, and so I skipped the one available for Wii U for that reason.

Planet Robobot is one of the higher rated Kirbys and is, from what I've seen, perfectly representitive of standard Kirby. I also need to get it. If I may ask, do you remember what caused you to drop Chronicles?

Animal Crossing : Never played it and I don't think that I'll have the time to do so since I have so much games to play already.

F-Zero : I'm waiting for an actual new one on the NX. Can get into the others on the SNES,N64,GC, etc ...

Metroid : Maybe I'm gonna try out the trilogy edition on the VC. But I'll need time :P

Prime Trilogy is a fantastic way to start on Metroid. If you wanted to start on a 2D one, I'd say Fusion, it's more beginner friendly than Super Metroid while still being great in it's own right, (and it's also much shorter than Prime Trilogy, of course).

There was a demo for one of the Ace Attorneys on 3DS, and it was awesome, but the game just completely slipped through my fingers.

Fire Emblem - I haven't researched it much, but it just seems too deep and lengthy for me to really devote enough time to beat the games. I keep seeing Awakening on my shelf begging to be played and I just keep passing it by. Maybe someday.

Golden Sun - Same reason as above, honestly.

Pikmin - Despite the high praise for the series, it just never looked that fun to me.

Animal Crossing - Same reason as Pikmin.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

If you play Awakening on Normal and Casual, you shouldn't have to worry about all of the game's systems as much. It'll still be somewhat long, but you won't have to grind much or worry about getting the perfect children/skills.

Pikmin series for me. Wanted to grab the trilogy but bill money constantly prevents me from doing so.

Good deal, thanks! The grinding is definitely what makes me wear out after 10 to 15 hours. I haven't played many JRPGs, but the ones I have played I loved (SMT series, Ni No Kuni) so there's not a really good reason for me to have not played one of Nintendo's best franchises like Fire Emblem. I actually am on vacation next week, so I might just have to pop it in the ol' 3ds!

I dont like Animal Crossing.

Metroid, I love the enthusiasm of the fan base, and feel I owe it to them to at least give it a try in the future. As of now however, I don't intend to try it any time soon.

Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

Metroid. I really haven't played any of the games. So I'm hoping we get an full blown awesome Metroid game on the NX, cause the hype for that will be real. Especially if they decide to do open world for it.

Makes me wonder if that's the plan for the next Nintendo open world game? Who knows. It'd be nice.

Once I get the trilogy on disc, I'll play through those.
