We know when something is just an opinion. If you're saying you like it don't like a particular game, then that's obviously your opinion. You don't need to explicitly tell us.

Well that's your opinion....or is it?

I thought when people have an opinion based on a game they would post it in either those Nintendo,MS or Playstation official threads or those official game threads. But I guess they want their opinion to show it to everyone not just in those threads. Which is fine. I don't think it breaks any rules.

Luckily I put it right in the title. Because otherwise there's really no way you could tell, I mean, it's not like you can tell by the context of the statement or anything.

We all know why people put "opinion" in the headline of controversial threads don't we?

They probably think it gives them more freedom to bash/hype up something without getting punished for that. Or in other words: In my opinion  they believe they can let their inner fanboy speak louder to us. 

I think the trend should be the reverse. When people have factual data to share they should start the thread title with Fact:

Everything else should just be assumed to be an opinion.

I put imo just because I feel like im walking on eggshells. I try not to be rude or too much of a fan boy but this is a video game chartz forum. People come here because they like games. Some also come here because they want to know how well their favorite brand or console is doing. I will try not go put imo or opinion but I figure ill vet banned sooner or later. I also even let it be known that I own all platforms too. Just the eggshell habit I guess.

I see people complain either way. If you don't put opinion, it never fails "You should have put opinion in the thread title". This is really the first time I heard someone say to not put opinion.

The trend recently seems to be threads that are actually some kind of passive aggressive attack against another fanbase. It's getting kind of annoying.
