Alright, today's the day that will determine the future of Britain. It's still a tight battle, with the majority currently leaning to leave.

Some key questions:

1) What do you think about the overall situation?

2) Do you think Britain should stay or leave?

3) Did you participate in Taco Bell's free taco promotion that occurred on June 21st?

Personally, I think Britain leaving will cause a chain of other countries to break away from the EU as well.  Hopefully Britain will improve if they declare independence.  Also wish best of luck to all Britains here. This generation will feel its impact the most.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

1. Bad tendency towards nationalism, could hurt the economy (though I am no expert), the fracturing, internal and external, is bad for the country, no matter the outcome.

2. Stay

3. No

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

The British pound basically just collapsed to the lowest level to the US dollar since 1971, lol.

I just hope they stay so I can travel without problems to england. My son LOVES Big Ben. Would be a shame if we can't visit it anymore without getting passports, visa and whatnot. =/

I imagine it will suck for britains pretty hard, too, if they leave. They will be treated like a second class country in everything related to trade and stuff. But well, only time will tell how bad the effects will be.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Will Brits need visas now to travel into other parts of Europe?

Yeah, for any non-UK citizens, I'd reccomend investing in defensive UK stocks, because with the pound as weak as this, you are basically getting a 10% discount on UK stocks.

United Utilites (a UK water company) is the one I've pinpointed. Water utilities are traditionally super defensive (the water provider and wastewater management business is monopolistic and incopmetetive by nature) and it has a nice dividend yield at >4%. It's a good stock to buy even without Brexit, but with the pound as low as it is, you're getting it for a bargain price.

Probably going to fall further, wait till the US markets open.

Looks like the UK is leaving the EU, GG.

Between this and in the US having to chose between Trump or Hillary has made a compelling argument that is against demoracy.

short term falls are cause by an unexpected event. Things will normalize.

The is a big loss for socialism!
