Yes, for sure. Very old hardware if it's compoared with mobile devices nowadays or the neglected psvita, N tryed with "New 3DS" but didn't work so the new handheld must be soon, and N never fails with handheld, can't wait!.

The codename of the handheld, which everyone presumed was coming, doesn't have to be the same as the console. Doesn't mean that there won't be connectivity between them.

I actually hope there is connectivity between the two of them. I also hope for cross platform play and shared access to the same servers between the handheld and console. Plus cloud saves and easy account connectivity between the two platforms. I think this will really be the test of what Nintendo had planned. If Nintendo pulls it off it could be fantastic.

There are 2 possibilities:
1. They are talking about the handheld version of NX.
2. Monster Hunter is so popular that it will get an exlcusive handheld made by Nintendo.

1) That Morgan Stanley Japan note on Nintendo does NOT mean a portable console or the name "MH" is confirmed. They are picturing a scenario.
2) Such "rich" forward-looking analysis and also the wording is standard in investor notes. I know because I read *tons* of them ;).

I don't think anyone is surprised, really. The only thing this rumour adds to the rest is that we can say MT instead of NX handheld. But aside from that, nothing.

Seperate from the NX? There's been no confirmation from Nintendo or even acknowledgement of a dedicated handheld in any of the rumours. I don't think anyones surprised but a hybrid system has long been one of the most speculated outcomes of the NX.
