The new Doom is pretty damn amazing, the game beta didn't make it justice, the weapons sound great and feel amazing, best shooter since the original Doom so fast and fluid and brutal. 

I've heard a lot of praise about the game from the level design to how the game feels to sticking to its roots.  Looks like its gonna be one of the best shooters of this gen so far.

Just finished the campaign and loved it!

Finished the campaign twice, 1st run on Ultra Violence, 2nd run on Nightmare, and maybe 3rd run will be Ultra-Nightmare later.

Better than Wolfenstein: The New Order?

Yeah, heard some really positive things about it. Unfortunately for me it's come out at the worst possible time. Will have to pick it up at a later date though for sure.

Might rejuvenate fps games for me. I love Doom. Hopefully I can play it sometime this week.

For me, so far no comparison. Doom stomps all over Wolfenstein.

To be fair, they are radically different games.  Wolfenstein certainly doesn't have bad gameplay but its strength comes from it's characters and story (ironically, given it's a game about fighting SciFi Nazis).  DOOM is all about that speed, level design, pace, cathartic weapons.
