I never understood the Nintendo versus Sony arguments.  They offer drastically different products and experiences and I love owning both.  

That depends on when ghe Switch 2 drops TBH and how well the Switch sells after that.  I will say that out of all things I could be wrong about, I always thought that would be the most likely.  Still too many variables and grass to cover before truly knowing it it will pass PS4 or not.

One thing I was definitely way off on was the initial 60 mil prediction.  I own being completely wrong about that, hence my revision to the number.

Well that goes along with a BC Switch 2 in 2022 or 2023 being the reason sales slow.  That in itself makes it a bit more bolder than just adding 10-20 mil to my previous prediction. 😉

Me neither. One is a copycat, while the other (Nintendo) is an innovator.

Wow, yeah sounds about right. I think it'll top out at 80-95M. Not quite PS4 levels because the 3rd party support simply isn't there and the casual market, while present, isn't the force it once was.

And yikes, can we stop the "industry is where it is because of X" and Copycat stuff. This industry stands on the shoulders of giants, quit the silly fanboy talk.

Went to the market today and they were all out of crow meat. Now I understand why.

Welp, some posts here didn't age well

I originally predicted somewhere between the 80-100 million range before the Switch came out. Now, I think it's going to do 100 million at minimum.
I think it's going to pass the PS1 and may have a shot at the Game Boy depending on its legs after its successor launches. So, my new prediction is somewhere between 105-120 million.
