Where is this mythical thread on neogaf full of complaints about it being a budget title?

In fact most have not even played much yet as it is not released outside of japan and has only been out in Japan for a couple of days. (And you have to import it which will take a couple of days at least so many have just began the game)

This whole thread feels like a tad bit late april fools joke.

Here is the thread: https://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1202314

Hasemo and others imported it.

Hasemo:  Last (?) boss time. 22 hours on the clock, but I left the game running for an hour or two.

-Optional dungeons look the same with almost no good reason to visit them
- You will see the same enemies over and over again just with a different colour
- Almost 50 % of of the soundtrack is copied from older star ocean games.
Etc..

I reading this and it sounds.... Like Star Ocean!

No Star Ocean... EVER, have had unique optional dungeons. They serve nothing but have enemies and bosses that you will spend 20+ hours to beat.

Low enemy variety? Recolors? Same complaints of EVERY SO, especially 3&4

So half the game sound borrows from the awesome soundtracks of Previous SO'. Ok

No, this fifth installment has even less effort put into it.

Everything looks dull generic and bland, its does have boring shallow combat and it even lacks unique bosses.( most of the bosses are just waves of monsters and soldiers you did fight before as random mobs or a bigger version of one monster.

The characters are very cliche and annoying and also the main character has the most forgettable look ever, costumes are kinda fine but its all fashion and no deepness. The story only started picking up after hours of delivering letters and backtracking ingame and when it picked up it did not catch my interest,i was kinda bummed spending fullprice on an overpriced game cause in my oppinion this is more in the 20 euros range and even then it would be a waste for some im sure.

Star Ocean can be so much more but i think they did not get a very big budget to make this one, still hopefull for next installment
