Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Witcher 3: Most Awarded Game of All Time

I thought the first one was pretty bad and hated the combat.  I only played a few minutes of the second one before putting it aside and never going back.  Is TW3 a massive improvement?

All games have their core gameplay system changed. TW3 takes some time to adjust, but if you can endure some first weird hours with a system that would probably not be to your taste (don't worry, godlike written quests will carry you forward), you end up getting the hang of it and finally liking it. Or...not, I don't know. But people who hated the previous games' system ended up liking TW3's one.

That being said, you just can't play a few minutes, or you'll end up like TW2 all over again.

Highly deserved as it was a massive step forward in the narrative department for its genre.

Well deserved. An absolute masterpiece of an RPG.

Justice! Games that good don't come along often

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

well i haven't beaten the game yet and i can say for me it is definitely the most immersive game i have ever played and the best open world in a game i played..and to pokoko yes it is a massive improvement over the witcher 2

Doesn't really mean anything.

Already said that back then when TLOU was the game with the most GOTY awards ever. None of the past GOTYs are comparable as the amount of media outlets has risen ever since. Any game that dwarfs its competition in its release year will most likely break a new record.

If that's #251 then wouldn't it have already been ahead after #250?

Maybe it got both at almost the same time?

That's good for it.
But it seems it was due to less hard competition, 2013 was a hell of a year, GTA and others also carved a lot of awards.

Anyway, TLOU still had a bigger impact as far as I noticed it. But TW did great as well

But...but Bloodborne! Fallout! Metal Gear!

Yeah both tough years and both great games. My top two actually!

Yes true - with more awards being awarded comes the possibility of winning more awards

Yes, but I did not see it then!

#1 Amb-ass-ador

Gaming award achievements don't impress me. So many are based on poor competition and previews.

Deserves every one of them, best game I played last year and so far this year as well.
