- Nintendo President Kishima Tatsumi was interviewed by Sankei West and he talked about NX alongside the success of both Splatoon and amiibo.

- regarding NX, he said that Nintendo would not deviate from their “unique software-led hardware-software integrated business”

- he said the thing was in steady development and that Nintendo would not rush the thing to the market

Can't extrapolate much from that but I really, REALLY hope they don't rush to market. Wii U coming out rushed without having much to back it out the gate did it no favors and Nintendo really needs to come in swinging.

YES! SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT. So you guys can quit claiming 2016 release. The NX isn't something that should be rushed out so early, especially with the patents it might be utilizing. A late 2017/mid 2018 release is much more like it. By then, Sony and MS will be talking about their next consoles. Can Wii U survive that long? Maybe. It depends on what they have in store software wise. It's just too early for a 2016 release.

I still won't see surprised if NX comes out this year, if not, definitely next year.
