February 2016 for Xbox One and April 2016 for PC should have been the dates. Tomb Raider will eventually make a profit before the game even touch PS4, but Tomb Raider should have had a window to itself to allow maximum exposure.

With Halo 5, Fallout 4 and GOW: Remastered it was too crowded of a window for Tomb Raider to reach it sales potential.

If the Tomb Raider Reboot, with 3.4 million copies sold failed to reach Squares target this game must be considered a HUGE BOMBA for them.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/tomb-raider-fails-to-reach-sales-target/1100-6405929/

Not only that, how can the game make a profit before releasing on the Ps4 when:

A) It is still selling poorly, and

B) The game is already on the bargain bin.

From all aspects this game is a huge flop.

Having played both the Reboot and this game, i can surely say that this game had a bigger budget than the first which makes things worst.

I replaced GOW: Remastered with Black Ops: 3.

Too much Gears of War on the brain. My favorite action franchise ever. 😁😁

Amazing game, I feel sorry for those judging it by sales and not there own mind. Loved the deal MS did to throw off gamers choosing 1 console over the other. It clearly shows that no body likes TR anymore which would mean a possible TR buyout from MS, now that would be fantastic.

If your a true gamer and love video games, there's no excuse not to pick it up. Buy an XB1 or get a PC, its a must have game if you like games like Uncharted.

Those that refuse to buy it because of the deal.. lol there's no words for that except haters gonna hate.

You must first convince those who already own a xb1 to get the game before trying to convince ps4 owners to get a xb1/pc because as you can see, there are a lot of xb1 owners that arent a true gamer going by your definition of a "true gamer"

I agree, if your a true gamer is referring to all gamers. I find it funny that all the talk about list wars and console wars are all based off childish console fans. They are simply the worst. There are games on all consoles that struggle to sell, yet we see games like Knack sell 1.4m copies and Tomb Raider sell 500k. All in all TR will continue to sell and probably hit 1.5m after its finished on the store shelves not including digital.

The main problem with XB1 game sales is that there are just too many great games to buy, even HAlo is behind the 8 ball, this is a great thing for a great console. If the console had little to no games to buy then TR would probably great records. Fans dont see it this way, they just see it as "Xbox gamers dont buy games"

I am a PC gamer from top to bottom and i brought TR on XB1 because its a great game, i coudlnt care how much better it would look on my PC. I support great games regardless of platform.

The difference between a PC gamer and a Console gamer.

A PC gamer will buy TR and support the great game that it is.

A PS gamer will ignore TR because of a corparate deal.

^ That explains the industry. As the sayings go, Nice guys finish last, lets add Good games dont sell.

So now the argument is that the XBO has so many games, that XBO users were spoilt for choice.... funny times.

Good games do sell, not all the time, but when you limit your platforms and release the same time as a game that was regarded to be one of the biggest games of the year... what did they expect to happen... crap even MS couldnt be arsed to promote it that hard until recently. If you are saying PS owners are not buying the game, yeah well they cant because its not out on their platform.

It wouldnt surprise me if when it comes out a year later, the PS4 version still sells better than the XBO version, then what will you do with your very poor argument... blame it on there being more PS4 owners probably.

The X1's best games are failing to sell more because of "too many games to play"? I don't know what to even say to that. Next, the parts about PS and PC people is ironic - why are a major chunk (almost all) of the X1's fanbase not buying the game, then? Is it because there's too many "great games" to play?

As for your last bit, that doesn't explain the industry at all (unless one resides in LaLa Land). Plenty of good games don't sell for a multitude of reasons and none of which is because of some concerted effort to "get at" a coporation. Otherwise, you're contradiciting yourself -  Xbox gamers are also part of it.

What will happen if the PS4 version sells the most? Then what?

Lately, people have been recurring to the Digital Sales. That is one hell of a escape goat righ there.

"This game didnt chart on NPD"

"Thats why it had 99.9% of Digital Sales!"

Cheap way to end an argument because there is no way to track Digital Sales, unless the developer/publisher itself publish some numbers.

Game of the year. This game is not being over looked on xbox it's so many AAA games on xbox that's it's to many to buy so it will have legs. Anyway I don't know anyone that buys physical copies anymore and digital sales don't show up on charts. If your a real gamer buy all consoles.

A masterpiece is virtually perfect. ToTR is far from perfect. I would not even say its better than the reboot, just more violent and copies TLoU as well as AC to make it more appealing. The game's set pieces and plot just rips off Uncharted series even more, especially the end and the main plot. The villain was basically Lazaravic (sp?) from Uncharted 2 and those soldiers in the lost city (also from Uncharted 2) were just the guardians from Uncharted 2.

The actress that lends the voice to Lara is fucking gorgeous.

Would be hotter if she wasn't orange lol

Hmm. That's odd. She looks white to me.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

So you would have bought a ps4 if it was the other way around just to play Tomb Raider early? I don't think so, you would have probably waited for the pc version instead because if I remember correctly, SE announced the ps4/pc version before the xb1 version released.  Anyway, ps4 owners gonna have options now with the PC version.  In the same way you have a xb1/pc combo, there are ps owners that also play games on PC so if they really want to play the game that badly, the game will be out in less than a month.

that some ps4 owners decided to not buy a xb1 just to play one game 1 year before is SE fault for announcing that the game is coming to ps4 before it launched.  If anything, SE sabotaged the game on xb1.  Maybe the sales would have been better if SE announced the ps4 version a few months later after the xb1 version release.

Where is this argument coming from? That there are "so many AAAs on the X1 to choose from that it's too many to buy"? There are as many, if not more, AAA titles on the PS4. So why are the PlayStation games selling so good?

And, again, with this "real/true" gamer nonsense.

I feel that whenever someone makes that argument  is a way to condesend on others of complain about not being able to play a game on their console of choice.
