Game of the year. This game is not being over looked on xbox it's so many AAA games on xbox that's it's to many to buy so it will have legs. Anyway I don't know anyone that buys physical copies anymore and digital sales don't show up on charts. If your a real gamer buy all consoles.

Where is this argument coming from? That there are "so many AAAs on the X1 to choose from that it's too many to buy"? There are as many, if not more, AAA titles on the PS4. So why are the PlayStation games selling so good?

And, again, with this "real/true" gamer nonsense.

Let assume xb1 exclusives sales suffer because there are too many games to choose from on the holidays, whose fault is that? IMO MS for not spreding out their exclusives during the year and instead they released all of them for the holiday period.  Everyone want to look at TR sales but not only that game sales suffer, forza 6 as well as halo 5 sold way below expectations.  If MS strategies was to pack a bunch of exclusives in the holiday period to make irresistible a xb1 purchase then it definitely backfired.

It's pretty hard to digest that AC syndicate is selling better on xb1 than TR without any marketing deal/no bundle and after suffering franchise fatigue.

I feel that whenever someone makes that argument  is a way to condesend on others of complain about not being able to play a game on their console of choice.

I hate that. I even saw it in the Star Wars thread. Somebody said "A real Star Wars fan would blah...blah..blah). I once even had a guy tell me that I " ain't a real n*gga". Wtf? Who put these people in a position to judge reality!?!

Well AC is a slighly bigger and better known franchise plus the last game was bundled to death on the X1 last year.  So its really no suprise that Syndicate is selling slightly better then Rise of the Tomb Raider on the X1.

The actress that lends the voice to Lara is fucking gorgeous.

Would be hotter if she wasn't orange lol

Hmm. That's odd. She looks white to me.

Yes, with a spray on tan.

Yes, with a spray on tan.

I have seen worse.  That being said there are over a dozen better pictures he could have used just on her imdb profile.

Amazing game, I feel sorry for those judging it by sales and not there own mind. Loved the deal MS did to throw off gamers choosing 1 console over the other. It clearly shows that no body likes TR anymore which would mean a possible TR buyout from MS, now that would be fantastic.

If your a true gamer and love video games, there's no excuse not to pick it up. Buy an XB1 or get a PC, its a must have game if you like games like Uncharted.

Those that refuse to buy it because of the deal.. lol there's no words for that except haters gonna hate.

No thank you, I will play uncharted "for", exclusive for the PS4. Do you know that it is exclusive for the PS4?  Are you going to buy it?

February 2016 for Xbox One and April 2016 for PC should have been the dates. Tomb Raider will eventually make a profit before the game even touch PS4, but Tomb Raider should have had a window to itself to allow maximum exposure.

With Halo 5, Fallout 4 and GOW: Remastered it was too crowded of a window for Tomb Raider to reach it sales potential.

If the Tomb Raider Reboot, with 3.4 million copies sold failed to reach Squares target this game must be considered a HUGE BOMBA for them.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/tomb-raider-fails-to-reach-sales-target/1100-6405929/

Not only that, how can the game make a profit before releasing on the Ps4 when:

A) It is still selling poorly, and

B) The game is already on the bargain bin.

From all aspects this game is a huge flop.

Having played both the Reboot and this game, i can surely say that this game had a bigger budget than the first which makes things worst.

It failed to reach that on a huge userbase. Even if it released on PS4 the game would have got 800K-1.2M more sells I'm guessing. Probably being generous a tad. Star Wars, CoD and Fallout still would have crushed it IMO. It still hasn't even been out 3 months yet. I think it'll be a slow seller. I didn't even know about the 1st till my friend told me to buy it on a $10 digital sale

& where is it bargain bin? It's still $50-60 most places. Amazon and Walmart is $40. Battlefront is $40 as well. Is that Bargain Bin as well? What is some of your guys definition of Bargain Bin?

I agree, if your a true gamer is referring to all gamers. I find it funny that all the talk about list wars and console wars are all based off childish console fans. They are simply the worst. There are games on all consoles that struggle to sell, yet we see games like Knack sell 1.4m copies and Tomb Raider sell 500k. All in all TR will continue to sell and probably hit 1.5m after its finished on the store shelves not including digital.

The main problem with XB1 game sales is that there are just too many great games to buy, even HAlo is behind the 8 ball, this is a great thing for a great console. If the console had little to no games to buy then TR would probably great records. Fans dont see it this way, they just see it as "Xbox gamers dont buy games"

I am a PC gamer from top to bottom and i brought TR on XB1 because its a great game, i coudlnt care how much better it would look on my PC. I support great games regardless of platform.

The difference between a PC gamer and a Console gamer.

A PC gamer will buy TR and support the great game that it is.

A PS gamer will ignore TR because of a corparate deal.

^ That explains the industry. As the sayings go, Nice guys finish last, lets add Good games dont sell.

So you would have bought a ps4 if it was the other way around just to play Tomb Raider early? I don't think so, you would have probably waited for the pc version instead because if I remember correctly, SE announced the ps4/pc version before the xb1 version released.  Anyway, ps4 owners gonna have options now with the PC version.  In the same way you have a xb1/pc combo, there are ps owners that also play games on PC so if they really want to play the game that badly, the game will be out in less than a month.

that some ps4 owners decided to not buy a xb1 just to play one game 1 year before is SE fault for announcing that the game is coming to ps4 before it launched.  If anything, SE sabotaged the game on xb1.  Maybe the sales would have been better if SE announced the ps4 version a few months later after the xb1 version release.

I already own a PS4 and i dont restrict myself and boycott games because of a deal like half the fanboy base is saying on the net. Dont act like you dont hear/read gamers say i wont be buying TR because of MS and SE. I read comments like them all the time. Will see if the players put there money where there mouth is. Iv played TR, i couldnt care what platform i brought it on, i went X1 because it was availble on it first. Smart move by MS because i would have brought it on PC otherwise like i did with the Reboot, deals like that happen. In my opinion if you like Uncharted and TLOU then this game is a no brainer. I found the Reboot better then Uncharted 3 and the sequal is just as good as TLOU but thats just me.

Its a great game that should be recongsized for its qulaity not its sales. DOesnt seem like gamers care so much for qulaity anymore just resolution and sales. The gaming community has fallen into a new low and iv been there from the very beginning.

All i am reading now is ill buy the game in the bargain bin.. lol wtf? Honestly kids. ill guess ill buy UC4 when its in the bargain bin too. Thats how stupid most of the people in this thread sound. Its a bloody game, you buy it for your own pleasure not for someone elses.

Might give it a chance next year after TR reboot disappointment.

If you found the well received reboot disappointing, you should maybe avoid ROTTR because it looks to be more of the same (although maybe more polished). The new TR just might not be for you.
