If we're talking about just 2015 so far, then Tommorowland was very underrated.

Tomorrowland was a good movie. I mean, it had its problems for sure (I feel like the story could have been told a lot better) but it was still really enjoyable imo. It did not deserve to fail that badly at the box office.

Some of my favorites of 2015 were:

Ant-Man: Ant-Man has become one of my favorite Marvel movies now. It was also by far probably the funniest one imo, even beating The Avengers. It really was a great movie, one of the best in the Marvel Cinematic Universe I would say. The whole concept of the movie is something you don't get to see in any of the other marvel movies so it feels like it has its own unique place in it to stand out from the rest.

Jurassic World: I know some people have mixed feelings about Jurassic World but I fucking loved it. I even made a thread about it after I had seen it but i'm too lazy to find the link to it. I had such a good time watching that movie since I love Jurassic Park and the series in general.

I still really have to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Mad Max: Fury Road since i've heard amazing things, and also others such as Inside Out.

Nah, it was Edge of tomorrow. But if predestination was released in theaters, that too.

Edge of tomorrow was awesome in the first half, which set me up to expect a lot more from the ending. I didn't know it bombed at the box office, but yes another great 2014 movie. Much better than Hobbit let's add some more onto it and Dawn of the dual machine gun wielding horseback apes.

The Gift was quite impressive.

Child 44, Bridge of spies. Both low profile, but they were excellent and gripping.

Film of the year for me was probably Star Wars, even though I have mixed feelings about it. I only saw it yesterday.

Blockbusters this year have been a bit week. Last year was better . The only two stand outs are Mad Max and Star Wars. Both fantastic, but I had issues with both of them too. Both are 9/10 movies for me.

Smaller movies have been great this year though, much better than last year, where there was too much Oscar baiting.

Sicario, Creed, The Gift, Ex Machina were 10/10 movies for me.

All the other major blockbusters or smaller movies this year fell flat for me, from Bridge of Spies to Missions Impossible Rougue Nation.

I was less than impressed with most movies this year.

All your Terminators and Star Warses... Come on guys, no indie dorks like me hanging around here? XD

I didn't catch too many films, but Song of the Sea is probably the most beautiful movie I've ever seen, and it's exactly the type of movie that would go largely unnoticed by most people.

Film of the year is without a doubt Mad Max. It's the best action movie I've seen in a very long time.
