Im pretty sure this i the meat of it. GC has never been a navenue to show off tons of really big games. Its usually relegated to varying styles. Im sure we will a lot of smaller things announced, alongside at least the new QD game and something else.

Very doubtful that Sony would only deal with games they've already announced here, when they have so much more to show (Shu's even said about various developers that he's played games from, which are running and playing well, yet they're still to be announced).
Technically Sony brought Until Dawn back at their Gamescom event last year for PS4 (a delayed title from PS3), while also announcing Alienation, WiLD, Tearaway Unfolded and The Tomorrow Children (all PS4 exclusives).
Hellblade was also announced there (a new Ninja Theory game).
In 2013 PS4's release date was announced there for europe and America, Rime & Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Vita Price Cut.
In 2012 Tearaway and Killzone Mercenary were announced for Vita, plus Puppeteer for PS3 (Japan Studio).
So there's definitely a history of making big announcements at the event.
Back in 2010 Infamous 2, Resistance 3 and Ratchet & Clank All 4 one were both announced there.
TGS is about the same scale as Paris Games Week and Sony announced Gravity Rush 2, Ni-Oh, Yakuza 6 and King of Fighters 14 all exclusive for PS4.
There's definitely a history of big announcements happening at Sony Gamescom conferences. More than Quantic Dreams game, smaller indie titles and games already announced will likely be handled at this event at the end of this month.

dont get me wrong, i dont want to sound like i think nothing noticable will be announced.
I just think you wont be getting many AAA budget games announced. Actually I somehow expect a bunch of localisation news, being France and all.

As I said TGS did have a bunch of AAA exclusives that were very important to the region, along with having a decent amount of appeal to the west, Gravity Rush 2 and Ni-Oh in particular.
Like I said we got 3 big AAA games at Gamescom 2010.
A console release date for PS4 in 2013 (that's a huge deal).
2 Vita exclusives, along with a major new PS3 game in 2012.
I'm not really insisting it will definitely happen, but since PSX Sony hasn't really let up on the announcements, it was only because Street Fighter 5 got leaked that one of the biggest new announcements for a console exclusive wasn't a massive surprise.
San Diego did announce a new IP with Kill Strain at PSX, Drawn to Death from David Jaffe's new Studio, Fat Princess Adventures from Fun Bits and Santa Monica.
E3 was obviously huge, with 3 brand new AAA IPs, one PS4 legacy announcement revisited (TLG) and two of the largest game announcements that struck a huge emotional nerve with fans in Shenmue 3 being a console exclusive on PS4 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming 1st to PS4.
I don't think Paris will see 6 big things like E3, but I could definitely see London Studio bringing back The Getaway, Eight Days (since neither was canceled and they haven't announced any big AAA titles for a very long time) or announcing some surprises.
Maybe GT7 could be shown for the 1st time and officially announced, Quantic Dream's game too.
I guess GT7 and Quantic Dream's game would be a big deal, but we'll see what happens soon enough.
