dont get me wrong, i dont want to sound like i think nothing noticable will be announced.
I just think you wont be getting many AAA budget games announced. Actually I somehow expect a bunch of localisation news, being France and all. |
As I said TGS did have a bunch of AAA exclusives that were very important to the region, along with having a decent amount of appeal to the west, Gravity Rush 2 and Ni-Oh in particular.
Like I said we got 3 big AAA games at Gamescom 2010.
A console release date for PS4 in 2013 (that's a huge deal).
2 Vita exclusives, along with a major new PS3 game in 2012.
I'm not really insisting it will definitely happen, but since PSX Sony hasn't really let up on the announcements, it was only because Street Fighter 5 got leaked that one of the biggest new announcements for a console exclusive wasn't a massive surprise.
San Diego did announce a new IP with Kill Strain at PSX, Drawn to Death from David Jaffe's new Studio, Fat Princess Adventures from Fun Bits and Santa Monica.
E3 was obviously huge, with 3 brand new AAA IPs, one PS4 legacy announcement revisited (TLG) and two of the largest game announcements that struck a huge emotional nerve with fans in Shenmue 3 being a console exclusive on PS4 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming 1st to PS4.
I don't think Paris will see 6 big things like E3, but I could definitely see London Studio bringing back The Getaway, Eight Days (since neither was canceled and they haven't announced any big AAA titles for a very long time) or announcing some surprises.
Maybe GT7 could be shown for the 1st time and officially announced, Quantic Dream's game too.
I guess GT7 and Quantic Dream's game would be a big deal, but we'll see what happens soon enough.
