Hello VGChartz!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable September playing games like The Phantom Pain, Super Mario Maker, Forza 6, and Tearaway Unfolded.
First of all, I want to bring attention to some some noteworthy threads for those who missed them:
- RolStoppable's annual NFL thread is in full swing.
- Axumblade revived the dormant GamrConnect Most Wanted thread (voting for October just ended so be sure to make your voice heard for November!)
- Any mafia fans? TruckOSaurus created a new game just today.
- Conegamer re-introduced gamrTalk, a thread where users can ask questions of a famous VGChartz personality.
Secondly, in mod news, Slade6Alpha stepped down from the team to focus on work, school, and family responsibilities. We're sorry to see Slade go, but glad that he's more active on the site and pursuing his goals in the real world. Thanks for your support, Slade! In other news, Tachikoma has returned to the mod team after a brief leave of absence. Please join me in welcoming her back to the VGChartz family.
Finally, some big news. We've decided to create a new position on the site: ambassador. What's an ambassador, you ask? This is a position given to the most active and productive members on the site, those who spend a lot of time and energy making meaningful posts and threads, and leading by example. Ambassadors will have their own tag, just like mods, admins, and writers. They will be tasked with creating interesting threads, making constructive posts, welcoming new members, retaining current members, answering questions about the site, and, in general, representing VGChartz in the most positive way possible. Note that ambassadors will not have any formal authority to censure or moderate, and will not be paid.
I can think of a lot of awesome contributors to this community who would be perfect for the job. If you're at all interested, please send a paragraph or two about yourself and why you want the position to vgchartzmods@gmail.com. Edit: Applications will close Thursday, October 15.
And that's it! Thanks for another great month, everyone. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please let us know here or via PM or Gmail.
See you next month!
