Back in 1995, Nintendo released the Virtual Boy. It was probably the first attempt to bring Virtual Reality into gaming. It didn't work. But that was 20 years ago.

Now, we have not only one, but three gadgets trying to bring the "Virtual Reality Project" back: Playstation VR, Hololens (AR) and Oculus Rift. This battle will begin early 2016.

What do you think it's going to happen? Will it work this time? Or are we going to have the Virtual Boy effect again? Do we have enough technology to make the Virtual Reality a... Reality?

It's gonna be another gimmick that comes and goes, however I'm less optimistic over it's success due to it's price of admission

I don't see it picking up anytime soon.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Successful enough to have a big enough variety of humping anime girls simulators.

So yeah. Very successful.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I think it will be more successful than people think. The price will come down over time too.

Make no mistake, with so many options for it moving forward, vr is here to stay.

It'll never be very big. It doesn't really had anything to an experience except a weird and uncomfortable head gear.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

at least PlayStationVR already got my interest...

If it's as cool as I hope it is, I'm going to be an early adopter.

I think it's here to stay this time because the tech has advanced enough for it but how well it takes off everywhere depends entirely on how well it's supported with good games.
