Just finished playing a couple of rounds on PC.

Great visuals and sound, but I found myself losing interest fast. Gunplay was kind of dull and judging by the grayed out modes and levels it looks like the final game will be pretty light on content.

Admittedly, I'm not a huge Star Wars fan. If you are, you might really enjoy what's here since it's all presented so vividly.

Anyone that has been playing DICE/EA games for the last years knows what to expect, they have been on a crash & burn trajectory since BF3... I have 0 expectations for this travesti of Battlefront!

In the remote case that the game is actually good (you never know...), cheaters/hackers will ruin it like in the previous DICE/EA games because they don't care about their customers at all!

A few years ago, after an update, my PC version of BF3 stopped working, I called them to sort the problem, their response was: tough luck, deal with it & don't forget to buy the Premium packs!

Quality of BF games has been plummeting hard!!!

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

The game is beautiful but the bit I've played was dull as dishwater.

Was finally able to get into a match after playing some survival rounds. I actually really enjoyed it :P

Star Wars Battlefront feels like a PS2 game, in the best way possible.

"The first day with a game is often the best day with a game.

It’s the honeymoon period, a time when things you’ll soon take for granted look dazzling and new. It’s also a dangerous time. Trying to form a meaningful impression without much experience is like entering a hive filled with scum and villainy. You have to be on your guard.

Still, my first few hours with Battlefront’s multiplayer beta on PlayStation 4 left me supremely impressed. This game is stunning. Yes, I know that my eyes can deceive me, that I shouldn't trust them. But dang. In 2015, developer EA DICE knows how to make a gorgeous game on the PS4.

I noticed the attention to detail first. The way weak Stormtroopers fumbled around and fell after a few shots from my blaster, just like they should. There's Admiral Ackbar’s ship in the skybox, just like it was in Return of the Jedi. And the way the snow on Hoth sparkled as I ran through it legitimately made me smile.

I kept noticing it all, impressed by the level of detail. I swear, at one point, a Stormtrooper I was shooting stumbled and fell in a way that felt so familiar to me that the animation must have been cribbed from a movie. EA DICE’s Frostbite engine powers Battlefront, just as it powers the developer’s Battlefield series. It does the universe graphical justice in a way this longtime fan of the galaxy far, far away has been fantasizing about for what must be decades.

Battlefront, I imagine, is what happens when people like me who grew up loving Star Wars get to make their contribution to the universe.

Star Wars Battlefront’s multiplayer beta contains the thinnest of slices of the final game, and it’s too dangerous to extrapolate from my first few hours how much I’ll enjoy the full experience.

I can’t imagine that I’ll get tired of looking at it, though."

Can't wait my friends !

Played multiplayer for about half an our and I really enjoyed.

Graphics are great, if this is what Mass effect andromeda looks like, then my god incoming goty..... it controls fine too buttttt I just dont see what seperates this from any other online fps, i predict another titanfall/evolve incoming, a game that scores low 80s metacritic, people like it for a month then never talk about it again

Like Titanfall or Evolve, surely. But something separates it from every other games : it's Star Wars. There will be a lot of talks about it and a very active community IMO.

It feels and plays like Battlefield. It was alright in other words.

The snow map was fine but man was it hard, the team doing better just stomps the other after not long. In the games I played I was getting shot from miles away no idea where anyone was or when on Imperial, getting shot by one camper on a hill. No one could get him as we were down below and weirdly no one could find any Tie-Fighters to kill them with.

I'll give it more of a go later. Looks superb though.

Hmm, pie.

Agree and disagree, for sure there are star wars fans that care about this (although im sure most would prefer kotor 3) but that might be the only ppl who reallly care, Halo and Cod both come out before this game and those games are both way more engendered with the shooter community so this game will prob got overlooked by alot of those people and those are the people who keep games going so I doubt it
