Forums - Gaming Discussion - Did sony 'steal' the marketing rights for MGSV:TPP from xbox?

I don't think it had anything to do with Sony. The MGS franchise was synonymous with the PS brand since the original launched back in the 90's. The main MGS games were either timed exclusive, or fully exclusive all the way up until the 8th generation started. They have always performed MUCH better on PS platformers in large part because of all this and that's probably wy Konami decided to market their game with Sony. It just makes good business sense.

Then he should include MGS4 lol. That still is a PS exclusive

Were as in past tense applies to former exclusives and past games that were exclusive. Considering MGS4 is exclusive to the last generation, its still grammatically correct to say were as opposed to is. But irregardless of semantics, my point stands. Don't worry it's a joke and I get what your saying. MGS has it's strongest links with PS.

It's strange though, because the MGS series can be played on 12 (ish?) platforms and it's still seen as a PlayStation exclusive. People still see MGS 1,2&3 exclusives all these years later. It doesn't really happen with other timed exclusives. MGS2 was on XB but most people aren't even aware it existed.
