Depends on how much a deal they make out of it to compare it to Project Spark. I would like to consider myself very in the know, heck I wanted to get the game on PC. But I didn't even know the game came out until a week after it launched xD

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

It is very hard, but it is not impossible imo!

A few key differences here.

1. They hyped up PS with the conkers thing, only to let people down almost right away.

2. There was pretty much no attempt to build hype for the game after the conkers fiasco.

3. PS was and is a bad game. Media Molecule has never made a bad game.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

This game's sucess depends on how much Sony hypes and markets the game. Microsoft hardly did anything with Project Spark apart from Conker. I don't see it becoming a major blockbuster hit, but bundles and word of mouth can help this game.

yeah i dont see it getting that ''big''

Think of youtube/arcade center you made full of movies and games and sharing it thru PSN and everyone could comment or even play on it etc. It's going to be big if it becomes a social experience.

I'm thinking about it and I still cant see it getting that big. Time will tell though

Agd you know this how? I'm guessing in whatever world you live in the last game from this very studio was also instantly forgotten  (LBP).

Anyways, came here to say that giving gamers the tools to be unlimitedly creative is not a good thing. Can you imagine how many "peanus" worlds will be crested? But there will also be some pretty awesome gems in there too though.

It's difficult to judge a product we still know so little about, but I kinda doubt this will catch on with the mainstream. Like Project Spark before it, it will probably require a bit too much investment from the player to make anything meaningful. Instagram succeeds because everyone has a cameraphone now and all you need to do is snap a photo and slap on a shitty filter, Minecraft because its simplicity and Lego aesthetic are part of its charm, LittleBigPlanet because there's a capable platformer at its core, Besiege for its graphics, physics, and diabolical appeal.

I fully expect Dreams to be a beautiful and artistic work, but as robust as the tools may be, if it's just a creation platform without an accessible hook to draw people in, it's not gonna sell particularly well, let alone go viral. We'll have to wait and learn more.

Proper Morpheus support and integration would be a great hook, though. Step inside someone's head. Whoa...

Have we already started with the revisionist history approach? Dreams is an evolution of LBP.

The PS5 Exists.

It will get forgotten loke like ps home

REQUIESCAT IN PACE

I Hate REMASTERS

I Hate PLAYSTATION PLUS

I don't get Dreams right now... but they haven't explained yet if the game is just about creation or it'll be a bit like LBP where you can play it and levels made by players and not bother with creation.

At the moment i don't think it will do that well. ...
