An Adam Sandler movie about video games. How can that possibly ever be good. Frankly I'm surprised 19% of reviewers on rotten tomatoes gave it a positive score. Perhaps low expectations allowed some critics to enjoy the movie more than it deserves. If I can watch it without paying for it and I am looking for a reason not to do something more important I should be doing then I might see it.

Is Tron the best movie about a video game ever? Actually no, I think Wreckit Ralph probably is now.

I honestly think the Ratchet & Clank movie could be the best video-game movie ever, at least when it comes movie adaptations of existing video games not just being inspired by, or having video games as the theme.

I don't know. The first Silent Hill was fantastic and is the best video game movie in my books. The second one was crap.... just no

I think Sony is going to lose money on this movie. Even though the budget is relatively modest ($88 million)the is a very low chance of the box office gross passing the break even point. Adam Sandler is a bad investment risk for movies with budgets over $50 million. His lifetime worldwide box office average gross is $136 million. That means a $60 million budget is a marginal risk, but a $50 million or less budget is reasonable risk. It's going to be really hard for the movie to get enough box office gross for Sony to make that money back. Maybe over time with DVD/Blu-ray sales, digital sales and TV broadcasting it will eventually break into profitability. But that's quite a long road to profit.

Well at least according to one of the first reviews of the movie.

I doubt that anyone else will be as harsh on it as this guy but if there are some more very bad reviews I will add them later.  Kinda saw this coming since the only thing somewhat funny from the first major trailer for the movie is when the guy that plays the creator of Pac Man gets his hand bitten by Pac Man.  At this point Adam Sandler is been in so many bad movies its save to asume that any movie he is in is terrible.

Jeremy Jahns is not nearly as hash on it still gave it his lowest rating since it fails as a comedy and isn't funny.

What The Flick?! wasn't nearly as harsh either execpt for the final score which is 2.6/10

Chris Stuckmann was more harsh and honest he gave if a F which is his lowest reviewed movie of the year so far.

I'm hoping for some more honest and harsh reviews hopefully Angry Joe or That Guy with the Glasses will review it eventually.

When was the last time you saw critics like an Adam Sandler movie?

I'm not a critic. I'm a consumer and I have never failed to be entertained by any of his movies that I have seen. I plan to see it and more than likely I will enjoy it. Critics need to ease up and enjoy a movie.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Most of the movies i saw with starring were pretty good. The waterboy is his best film i saw with him. I laughed so hard when i saw it! :D

The second deuce bigalow was seen as offensive? Didn't know that.

Michael Bay really is a easy target! :)

Haha apparently it was and those people say that the first Deuce Bigalo was a cute movie! Lmao I don't get people sometimes. Though I can see why some people say the first film was "cute" XD

Yeah a lot of them are. Have you seen Little Nicky or Big Daddy? Those are his best comedies in my opinon.
It's funny how comedies with bad ratings are normally universally loved by people. You know... sometimes they are actually funnier and over the top XD

The first had a more romantic vibe to it. Maybe that's it.

I've seen both. Little Nicky was awesome. Those two dudes were hilarious! :D
That's why i don't care much about reviews. I watch the trailers and from there either i feel like watching them or don't.

Saw it yesterday. It wasn't so bad.

The first 30min were rather funny and then the movie went more for action, which was alright.
I can't say that every scene with Adam Sandler was bad, but every bad scene was bad because of him.
3D was quite good.
