Especially with how well legs/tentacles are showing in every region (US just had 290k sold in June, while Japan continues its streak), Splatoon has imo a good chance to reach these milestones. KEEP In mind im talking sales as in SHIPPED+DIGITAL!!!

Take a Look as to what i mean.....

US:  455k SOLD (By July 4th)

JAP: 470k SOLD (By July 12th)

That alone is 925k SOLD. We know Europe Sales have surpassed 260k by June 23rd/24th so that really makes WW sales (including 20k For RoW) no lower than 1.20mil SOLD By July 12th. As for Shipments it should be no lower than 1.35mil at the same time, possibly way more.

 

That said, Its Looking Like Splatoon is still surprising us with each passing week. Without Bundles this game can do at least 2mil-2.2mil by years end, imagine if it has holiday bundles? O.o

You are lowballing it. With digital, it will reach 2 million mid/late august. It will be at least 2.5 million when november starts, 3 million if mario maker shakes hardware sales in september. Should be above 4 million by year's end. Of course, that's considering sales won't fall off a cliff, wich has no signs of happening yet.

It will definitely pass 2m by the end of the year. Unfortunately, Splatoon will be held back by the small install base. It's one of those games many people back in the Wii days would have picked up after buying the system. Hope they continue the game on NX with a higher install base and even higher sales! It's my favorite game of the year so far.

when you only got one game to buy that is remotely interesting on the console then you shoudl expect good sales.

I think the hole "drought thought" is very misleading..

Many console owners are kids and/or people with not "infinity" money.. Therefor will the "avrage" game buyer (for any console) pretty sure have many games they wants to buy.. (hint: they choosed to buy/get Splatton instead of other games they want)
