Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS4 vs. XBO: Official Exclusives Thread

Who has the better line-up in 2015

Playstation 4 653 71.92%

Xbox One 255 28.08%

Total:908

God of War:R, and Gear:R cancel out essentially.

XB1 already 2 Forza games, so I doubt another one will sell many consoles.
Halo 5 should move consoles, it will be interesting to see how many Halo fans already upgrade for Titanfall and MCC.
Tomb Raider will move very little. For one its surrounded by huge titles, its timed and its not the type of game you run out and buy a consoles to play if you know its out 6 months later everywhere else anyways.

So basically the Xbox comes down to Halo once again. Will it have the impact it did in the past? I am very anxious to see.

I personally prefer Tales and BB over Halo, but I understand that is a minority preference.

XB wins the AAA battle. PS4 wins overall. AAA is what moves consoles, but I am not convinced this lineup can slow the PS4 momentum. Sony announces pricedrop at PGW(which happens to pretty much coincide with Halo5 launch) and it is GG MS unless they do something drastic in reaction.

Later today I will add 2013 and 2014. I will include a link for both in the OP.

A 2016 list from you would be so cool as well though I know you prefer specific release dates. Can we somehow make an exception? :D

If a game releases also on pc it isn't exclusive.

But how would that work? I am open for suggestions :)

Sony is going to win in this based off of sheer popularity, but the GOTY contenders are mainly in Microsofts hands this year.

GOTY will probably be a third party game, probably Fallout 4... well for me anyway :) - I think that will be the case for most people.

This here is a direct competition between PS4 and XBO, so in this case it sorta is.

What is there on PS4, that isn't on Xbox One and vice versa.

Gotta love dem list wars.
But why are there remasters and indies in there? Those aren't games.

Hah...hands down Microsoft has won 2015 with the bigger titles under their belt. Sony can name a thousand titles but unless they are on level with the AAA's MS is giving then well sorry but the hype was lost. Mid tier titles are great and we all play them, but its the AAA's that generally are the banner carriers for the year. The mid teir games have to be goty level to be considered a talking point when it comes to winning the year. Regardless its all opinion, but I say 2015 and 2014 both went to Xbox, but again...i've always said Sony starts slow because once their first party ramps up Microsoft cannot follow them on that front.

Where are all of MS big exclusives?  All in the last quarter. Where they are competing against all the top third party exclusives. Sony have been very clever. Why compete with the juggernauts like Cod,FIFA,AC and StarWars? Spread your exclusives throughout the year. Holiday season the juggernauts move consoles sales and in that sense Sony got it on lockdown!

You're right. It's console exclusive.

When we talk about PS4 and XB1's exclusive libraries it starts to look a little barren for the XB1 if we don't include all the games that I can play on my PC. I don't think it would be fair to the XB1 to ignore all these games.

Gears of War Remaster
Fable: Legends
Ori and the Blind Forest
Sea of Thieves
Killer Instinct
Titanfall
Ryse
Dead Rising 3
D4
State of Decay
Project Spark
Max: The Curse of Brotherhood

Additionally Halo Online and soon maybe Halo MCC as well. Regardless more Xbox One exclusives will be announced for PC in the coming months.

I still wonder why you guys never include Nintendo systems and PC on your lists. Some of the best exclusives (and I mean true exclusives) are on those systems each year.
