Forums - Website Topics - Should We Have an eSports Sub-forum?

Would an eSports Sub-forum be a good addition to VGChartz?

Yes 7 53.85%

No 6 46.15%

Total:13

A place to have "official" threads for all the major pro-league eSports, and some of the minor ones too. That way such threads would not disappear into the bowels of page 20 of other sub-forums and become deserted wastelands.

Or is there not enough interest in pro gaming to sustain an active eSports sub-forum?

Does anyone here actually care about eSports? I know I don't...

Well wouldn't it just go under a sports discussion? Or does the eSport community consider itself different from that?

Not going to feed the discussion, but currently Sports Discussion is part of the "off-topic forum", and gaming is obviously on-topic, so...

Is it? Huh, never knew

We should just not even talk about "esports". Just something untalented people will waste more of their lives on. Not being mean, just trying to stop it now.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

I can't see an esports subforum picking up a lot of attention, considering VGChartz isn't the most hardcore community, tbh.

Well that is just plain and simple bullshit...

What's an eSport? .-.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I think it'd be a neat idea but I don't see it being that big here.

It would be cool but I don't think there is a large enough audience for it. I personally have really gotten into League of Legends eSports this year with the spring and summer splits. Hell, i find myself watching the matches more often than actually playing the game recently.
