Looks meh if it is real. It is just a current S without a disc drive, I don't even think it is smaller than the current S (which is 13x10). Really disappointed with everything about this, from the name to the design.

What they should have done:

Name- Xbox One D (D for digital)

Design- Redesigned to get rid of the 50/50 look and go with a more uniform, sleeker look

Size- 8x8 or 9x9, achieved with removal of the disc drive and a die-shrink on the chipset

Redesign kind of defeats the purpose of this device.  Its evident that MS isn't trying to make some super small all digital device but instead make a very cheap digital device.  What will really define this device is its price.  Sell it at 50 bucks with year sub of game pass I believe would sell this baby like hot cakes.

You would think they could charge more to the urban customers who get the first crack at the upgrades, and use that to offset the extra installation cost for most if not all of the rural customers who would always get served second and have to wait. Crazy idea I know.

It's almost as if MS would actually like for people to be able to use that cloud thing they're always talking up eh.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starlink_(satellite_constellation)

Tesla is also working on Starlink, a low orbit satellite program.

"Starlink satellites would orbit at 130 to 1105 of the height of geostationary orbits, and thus offer more practical latencies of around 25 to 35 ms, comparable to or exceeding existing cable or fiber networks."

"In November 2018, SpaceX received US approval to deploy 7,518 broadband satellites, in addition to the 4,425 satellites that were approved earlier."

You would think. They are already charging a ton to urban customers as it is, seeing some of the other posts in this thread, in many other countries people pay like $40 a month for speeds that are faster than I'm getting paying Comcast $80 a month. It's a total ripoff, they are just pocketing that money and getting rich instead of reinvesting it to improve their technology and bring access to rural areas.

Yeah, Starlink also has promise, I agree. There is also the 5G rollout coming as a possibility for bringing high speed internet access to everybody, though the government would likely need to step in and force the carriers to get rid of data caps for it to become a primary internet source for people. 5G frequencies move so fast that there is just 1ms of lag, the download speed of 5G should be 100 mbps or more at release with the possibility of exceeding 1 gbps eventually (plenty fast for game streaming), and 5G signals have greater range than 4G so they can get enough subscribers in rural areas to cover the costs of putting towers into rural areas.

That's the Ninty way of doing things. This XBO would essentially be an overpowered Apple TV though.

Since I've completed the main game and the first DLC I might as well post my "final" (still one DLC to go) impressions of Assassin's Creed Origins. (Pretty much spoiler free)

Graphics and Performance:

Incredible looking game. Good draw distance, barely noticed any pop-ins, game runs very smooth, very enjoyable with the Xbox One X patch even if it's not quite a 4k resolution. I think it runs roughly at 1800p most of the time and that's fine by me. Textures aren't incredible though and as I mentioned before many NPC faces are really dull. I also feel like there's an extremely limited amount of different NPC walking around. They sometimes wear different clothes but they look way too similar overall. I think the game has only about 3 different hairstyles for each gender. Quite impressed with the water in this game, lighting is also spot on and fire looks quite decent as well.
9.0/10

World design and Mission design:
After playing this game I'd really like to visit Egypt. There are some incredible sights. The deserts look amazing and even if there isn't that much to do in them, so what? Definitely doesn't hurt to have them. Aside from the deserts, I don't think this game feels empty at all. Landscapes filled with animals, little villages, farms, bandits roaming around. Really well done. However there are a few copy and paste things I don't really like. Enemy encampments or forts look far too similar. Temples are pretty much copy and paste as well. Traversable houses are also the same everywhere.
This lack of variety can also be found in missions. I'm not going into much detail about main missions which are fine for the most part, but many side missions are just extremely similar. You can almost bet your ass that the quest giver wants you to talk to some dude who tells you to go to an enemy camp or animal lair to either kill the captain or get an item. I've seen worse but they could've mixed them up just a little more. I think there were only about 3 side quests where I had to collect some specific animals parts in order to complete them. Also unlike every other AC game there was barely any mission that required you to climb your way to a certain point.
Another thing to talk about is that the suggested level to start a mission is pretty much the absolute minimum. You will often face enemies that are 2 and sometimes up to 3 levels above you and they will completely destroy you in one or two hits.
8.0/10

Sound and Music:
I'm one who barely remembers the music in games (with some exceptions like Halo). I don't have anything negative to say about it and I do remember it being quite fitting. However I was extremely annoyed by the repitition of some NPC dialogue. Feels like Skyrim in some ways where one guy voiced every single blacksmith and a few guards I think.
9.0/10

Story:
Doesn't have much to do with Assassin's Creed until the very end. The present time segments were the most useless in a long time. Everytime it took me out of the animus I got back in immediately. It was much more interesting when you played as Desmond or when you worked as an Abstergo employee in Black Flag. I found a bit silly what happened to Khemu, but I still enjoyed these flashbacks.
7.5/10

Gameplay:
Talking about combat first, I think this is where I think the game lacks the most. Bayek has to be the slowest fighter in all of Egypt. Once you alert a guard he will instantaneously attack you and even if you react fast enough to attack yourself, the enemy will hit you first almost every time. It's insane how lucky you have to be to hit someone. Your best bet is to block a strike or evade first and attack while the enemy is still in his attacking animation. The enemy types also piss me off quite a bit. Many block constantly, so your light attack and not even your heavy attack will hurt them. You always need to do a charged heavy attack on them and it's really tedious. That rogue looking enemy type is pretty much immune to basic light attacks. I pushed him into a wall once and then chained three light attacks together. He always did the evade animation but there was no space to evade with his back at the wall. Doesn't matter, he is invulnerable during the animation. Also enemies are constantly using charged heavy strikes against you. Every single enemy type also has a ranged weapon, which is a bit unfair when you fight 3 or more at the same time.
Freerunning doesn't feel any different from Syndicate.
Naval combat is pretty boring in this one. I really disliked these sections and I loved them in Black Flag and Rogue.
Animal hunting feels great but boy are the hippos annoying. They might be the fastest animal in all of video gaming. Runs fast as shit and attacks much much quicker than you do.
I also like the loot and the upgrade system. Although I find the cursed weapons to be a bit pointless. Other than upgrading my weapons here and there when I didn't find another one, I had no use for the money.
8.0/10

Main characters:
I really like Bayek. Often driven by his anger, very humble to the people he wants to protect.
Aya was also pretty cool but I didn't really understand what both of them did at the end....(not trying to spoiler anything).
Voice actors were also pretty good.
9.0/10

Overall: 9.0/10

Fantastic game in the series and one of my favourites alongside AC 2 and AC 4. Spent 50 hours and I didn't feel bored at any point. Still have one DLC left so my total playtime will probably be somewhere around 55 hours. I heard that Odyssey is better in quite a few aspects, so I would like you to tell me if some complaints I had here have been changed in the sequel.

"Cool studio letter-of-intent for an acquisition by MS. Dated before E3 2019. No written sign of a MS employee (Only cool studio). I'm as sure on this one as I was with the Playground Games LOI I got access to earlier 2018. That's all you get right now. Hope that's confusing enough for you guys. I don't want to validate it any further, I'm not really sorry"

Him referring to it as “Cool Studio” must mean that the dev must be somewhat well known, at least that’s what I believe.

As I said before I just hope that it’s AAA.

I wonder if this was Damon Bakers idea.

1,000,000 TA!!!

(I just earned 2 achievements worth ~2500 TA each after a patch fixed them. I will probably be below 1000000 again by tomorrow lol.)

Last update was from June. Again only games that are on Xbox One, so no Win10 exclusives.

Dragon Age Inquisition 85.00 hours
Gems of War 83.55 hours (+ 0.30)
Battle Islands 75.47 hours
Project Spark 72.20 hours
Fallout Shelter 70.98 hours
Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition 53.00 hours
Battle Ages 45.03 hours (+ 4.80)
Assassin's Creed Syndicate 42.75 hours (+ 38.00)
Clicker Heroes 40.73 hours
Forza Horizon 2 38.90 hours (+ 0.23)
Assassin's Creed Unity 38.12 hours
Far Cry 4 37.17 hours
Watch Dogs 34.87 hours (+ 1.12)
The Crew 30.77 hours
Far Cry Primal 29.50 hours

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is the only new game to join the list.

Currently nothing else that would have a chance at getting a top spot. I've started Forza Horizon 3 though, so that might make it eventually. Currently sitting at ~10 hours.

Last updated in November (see above).

Dragon Age Inquisition 85.00 hours
Gems of War 84.28 hours (+ 0.73)
Battle Islands 75.47 hours
Project Spark 72.20 hours
Fallout Shelter 70.98 hours
Assassin's Creed Origins 60.22 hours (+ 60.22)
Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition 53.00 hours
Battle Ages 45.03 hours
Watch Dogs 43.85 hours (+ 8.98)
Assassin's Creed Syndicate 42.75 hours
Clicker Heroes 40.73 hours
Forza Horizon 2 38.90 hours
Assassin's Creed Unity 38.12 hours
Far Cry 4 37.17 hours
Rise of the Tomb Raider 35.30 hours (+ ?.??)
The Crew 30.77 hours
Far Cry Primal 29.50 hours
Batman Arkham Knight 27.45 hours (+ ?.??)
Rayman Legends 26.90 hours
Prison Architect Xbox One Edition 26.10 hours

Chose to do this again as I've now fully completed AC Origins and I've spent a considerable amout on it. It made it instantly on #6.
Also did various side missions in Watch Dogs. Due to that it moved up four spots from #13 to #9.
Furthermore I decided to list my top 20 instead of top 15. With that I will be able to better compare times in the future, because I have no idea how much time I spent on Rise of the Tomb Raider and Batman Arkham Knight back in November (I'm guessing around 20 hours of Batman).
Shadow of the Tomb Raider made it to #24 after I spent 25.22 hours on the main game. Once I buy the DLCs, it will easily make it into the list.
Many of the new games also stopped showing the time played and it was even removed from some games that previously did, making it harder to properly compare them.
