Some people like what's popular and some like what's not-so-popular. It doesn't make the genre bad if it's popular or niche, it's just what you tend to prefer more. And before someone says "Oh I like them both equally" I'm sure theres a slight bias for either or, not that that's even a negative thing. Some people just like some things over others.

So which game genre do you prefer (even if only by a slight margin)

For me, I'd probably fall under niche more. But I'd like to see what you guys prefer more too!

As long as the game itself is great, I could care less about its popularity.

Most of the games I buy are niche games. Heck, I even bought Vita for all the niche JRPGs.

I don't really "prefer" niche or popular. I just like what I like and I suppose what I like largely falls into the niche category nowadays. Not a conscientious effort on my part, to be sure, but that's just the way it's been for awhile.

I just like what I like. Sometimes it's a blockbuster. Other times, it feels like I'm the only one in the world that plays certain games.

I think I'm 50/50 in terms of library, but I prefer niche.. I don't like how niche is niche though.

Really, I love Bayonetta type games, arty educatement games, rail shooters (1/3 of kid icarus uprising), Warrior games, classic RTS games (they used to be popular) and then also things like Assassins Creed, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Zelda, rpg's.

Im not a fan of shooters..... I guess that makes me a niche kinda guy.

(also not into sports of any kinde, unless you count Esports)
