I agree with the L2/R2 buttons. That alone would probably motivate me to buy a second vita.

The vita is no longer a stand alone console. That failed. Now the Vita needs to be considered a PS4 Remote play/ PS Now/ PS Vue device that can also play PS Vita, PSP, PS2 and PS1 games. (Vita is the only device that can play FF 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 & 10-2).

What sort of nosense is this? Sony has not been losing millions on the Vita. They never sold it at a loss. It's one of the reasons why it failed.

You know a "write down" isn't a loss right? Its mainly depreciation being stated because of overstated value in the first place.

In cash terms it means nothing.

Look at Tesco and Sainaburys reporting losses this last month. They didn't actually lose any money. They wrote down the values of their property portfolios. (A bi product being they no longer have to pay any tax for this last year)

The hardware itself has always been sold at/above what they paid to build it. That was why they didn't follow suit when Nintendo panicked and slashed the retail of the 3DS bleeding millions in the process.

I specifically said they were "losing millions", not that they were being sold "at a loss". Between the writeoff and declining PS3 sales, the PS4 is what is pulling in money for the division. 


They arent. They are making a profit. You are only looking at the expenses and ignoring that the units sold made revenue that resulted in profit.

228-93= +135m in profit!



PS4 price drop is very realistic and in all honesty so does the PS Vita one.

It depends. They could upgrade the DS3 bundle to a DS4 and actually ship it with a reasonable sized memory card. But if that doesn't happen... i agree.

PSTV is going for $40 and cheaper in some places, so even at $89 it wouldn't close.
