If PC is so second class why are the highest viewed games on twitch.tv all PC games? Why does the console esports scene suck? And why are the most popular games online and not able to be pirated anyways?

I could answer all those questions but none of them have to do with how developers/publishers treat PC gamers which is the question. PC benefits come at the cost of being arguably ignored by the head of the industry.

Although, you bring up an intresting point about the most popular games being online. By forcing encouraging players to stay online, piracy is curbed. This is the kind of DRM the XO tried to copy and did so horribly, has worked for a while on PCs but out of neccessity.

Between waiting for Steam Sales and rampant piracy, AAA games don't typically make a lot of money on PC. I know a lot of PC gamers say stuff like "not everyone pirates games", but they typically go silent when I ask them if they pirate games.

There are a number of reasons PC gaming is an after thought. I will admit that I don't really care, though, as it's been giving me a lot of ammo for the whole "why I game on console" thing.

Honestly PC gaming feels the strongest it has since the 90s. It was unthinkable to see many Japanese games on PC even 5 years ago, now I am surprised by the number of niche Japanese games coming to Steam.

The Souls series has actually become something of a cult hit on PC, and it spawned releases such as Lords of the Fallen. Games like that would be unthinkable on the PC only a few years ago.

And Bloodborne, don't forget Bloodborne!

I don't pirate my PC games because I'm against it both from a moral and busienss standpoint but let me ask you this; whatever happened to Demos on both consoles and PC's?, I'll give you this to watch on why and then wonder to yourself why piracy exists at all.

I find it very off putting in this community that you're freely admitting you don't care for PC gaming but you;re more than willing to pick up any negative information to come waltzing in and throwing down with others just because you don't like/care for the platform, you don't see me picking up negative Sony news and posting about it or going into Sony only threads and deliberately trying to bring people down.

This is exactly why I have issues with the site and some people because conversations like this happen and all because someone decided to jump in and be negative without even caring or having any attachment to the subject in the first place.

Threads been here for 3 days and his post and yours appear on the 7th page of it, what's worse someone who jumps in at pg7 with his opinion on the matter or someone who jumps in at pg7 to drop a complaint about the site as a whole based on a user with 100ish posts?

Pretty sure most people who bother to write their views on here have an attachement to the subject regardless of if they agree with the OP or think he is incorrect on the matter he has just slightly phrased that to sound as tho he doesn't care about the whole subject but reads more to me as tho he is happy to stay away from it as a platform.

Also I have to ask "I don't pirate my PC games because I'm against it both from a moral and busienss standpoint but let me ask you this; whatever happened to Demos on both consoles and PC's?" So you have no pirated software whatsoever on any PC? It's just that I'm not sure if you're saying that you don't Pirate software or you don't pirate games because X reasons which mean that allows you pirate software such as a lack of demos being available.

The VGchartz community in general is failry biased against PC gaming and alot of the users here seem to know little regarding what games PC receives and when they recieve them and just babble about sterotypes that were far truer in the past.

I game on Console, Handheld, and PC and I personally prefer gaming on PC. I can crank graphics and framerate up on games past their PS4/Xbox alternatives, I have access to more mods and Steam features, I have superior controls for certain games (FPS and RTS and I use a xbox controller for many genres). It seems that most people on VGchartz don't even realize that PC Gamers get far more games then people who just game on console.

Pretty much this. It seems an odd thing to say when the PC seems to be getting more games in genres and franchises that were never associated with PC (e.g. JRPGs, Metal Gear Solid, AC, Resident Evil etc.) on top of the mainstay PC franchises.
