Meh. She's in her mid 30's which like, 10 years past a women's prime. They should have gone younger imo.

It wont matter because she wont have a big part in the movie so why would they explain her backround.

They wouldn't explain it if she's a minor character in the movie but she should be played by an asian actress none the less. 

Sorry i disagree i don't think that there is problem with them portraying Psylocke as white, and people on reddit don't have problem with it and they are usually really vocal about whitewashing characters.

Reddit doesn't really have anything to do with this film or Psylocke. It's like casting an asian actor to play as harry potter but to each their own. 

Olivia Munn is half Asian. She has a Chinese mother and grew up in Tokyo.

Psylocke is one of my favorite X-men characters. Easily top 3 and I think his might just work. I am surprised they are adding her to the film roaster. I was already excited for Apocalypse but this just made my excitement skyrocket!

They just better make damn sure she's a bad ass!

I can't avoid spoilers anywhere can I? I left CBR because of spoilers for comics. Don't make me leave this place as well because of the films.

This said, not sure about the casting. First, she's not English, if she has any other accent but English, character is ruined. Also, she doesn't look Chinese enough either.

This said, original Psylocke is English, not of Chinese decent.... and (Epiphany moment) Marvel have just solved one of their problems. They don't want to promote Fox's Mutants while Fox has that contract, a good a time as any for Marvel to change her back to original body... Come on Marvel get with it. :)

Not really white washing when the character was white once. People have mentioned Psylocke's current body's decent, Kwannon's origin wasn't even mentioned. Betsy was found in China after entering the Seige Perilius (no idea of the spelling of this), I think the body is 'east asian' in general, even if the Hand is from Japan.
