Forums - Nintendo Discussion - SO, what will be the Wii U's Big Holiday/End of Year Game?

Sinze Zelda has been delayed, any thoughts on what game would come out near the Holidays? Do you think that game hasn't been announced yet? Or Will the NX thing be released this year?

In 2013 we had Super Mario 3D World. While last year we had Super Smash.

If NX shows its face this year ready to be released the Wii U's existence was a joke and I am not buying it. I want at least two more good years with the WIi U. 2017-2018 better be the expected date at E3.

They have nothing on the same level as Zelda left

I hope it will be a $100 price cut. That's all I want at this point.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Nintendo said because of exchange rate issues they cannot drop the Wii U's pricepoint. Thats bullshit. The Wii U needs to be $200.

Thats the problem, everyones taking risks except them when it comes to trying to push the consoles out. Microsoft has much more to lose on the Xbox One and yet they are doing it.

I believe they said they couldn't do it in the past. But I agree it's bullshit. $200 would be perfect, but I'd bite at $250 as well. I really want it, but if I'm to shell out $350... I'd rather throw in $50 and get a PS4. Though I still expect a cut for PS4 this year. Can you imagine a scenario with PS4/Xbone at $299 and Wii U at $349?

Mario Maker needs to be the big Holiday release, and Nintendo should delay it until such to put as much time and effort into it as possible. I still say that if they play it right that game can capitalize on some of the massive kid fanbase of Minecraft, and possibly be a bigger seller than a Zelda game could ever be. 3D Zeldas have never been system sellers anyway, with the exception of perhaps OoT. So I don't know why so much emphasis was put on Zelda U as a system seller.

As for the more "core" fans, the return of Star Fox should be a great way to end the year if it can live up to expectations.

Isn't the Wii U $299 right now?

Nintendo is just riding it out with Wii U. I've said it before the only worse than a poor selling console is a poor selling console you're losing money on.
