Just paid a visit to Metacritic and I discovered the following:

That's right, PS4's game library is just far bigger and better rated. And people buy consoles to play games.

I think all the talk about MS damaging the XBOX brand with their terrible initial marketing is overblown, the average consumer wasn't consuming that information. The only people who paid attention to that were core gamers, who are still paying attention and know that MS changed the policies they initially had.

Bad marketing isn't keeping XB1 down, it's the lack of games.

PS4 is winning in sales because it's better than the Xbox One. Better meaning, games, overall brand, home grown first party, diversity, etc.

The PS4 just started strong from the get-go. The XB1 had a hard time turning around its damaged image.

There is no ONE reason. The fact is the PS4 has:

1) Better Hardware
2) Better Games
3) More Games
4) A far stronger brand

Xbox never had a chance.

Its better in performance and it has more games and it launched without its fans having angry pitchforks at its doorstep so yea, makes sense

Let's take a look at these 6 games shall we.


Grand Theft Auto V (a remaster of a PS3 game that's also on xbone)

The Last of Us Remastered (a lazy remaster of a PS3 game where they charged you full price)

flower (a game that has been on the PS3 for years and also Vita. Oh, and it only has 11 reviews. And it doesn't deserve its score.)

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition (a remaster of a PS3 game that is also on xbone)

Rayman Legends (overrated and on any console imaginable)

Fez (another small indie game that has been out for years and everyone with a 10 year old pc can play)

Yeah, next time don't use metacritic as an argument. All these games are also on PS3.

If metascores is what makes a console sell more than other then why isn't the WiiU flying off the shelves?
