I used to go to gamestop all the time. Then I realized shopping on the internet was much better if i wanted used games for cheap

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

Seriously said something about a score?
Its people that say stuff like that in gamestop that makes me not like the place.
everyone has an opinion there.
last time I was there I had a coupon and was buying infamous and destiny and evil within and some guy was like oh destiny, its ok but if you want something better you should get final fantasy. Destiny is for call of duty fanboys.
and I laughed but in my head I was like alright settle down nerd

If I ever work there, I'll push games on people that have quality. Not ones that are "cool and mainstream"

@OP: Agree, really a sad place, up until now I found it useful only once in my life, when I bought an adjustable support for wheel and pedals. But normally I end up finding better game offers at electronics and appliance stores and even at newsagents.

Ie just because you think a game isnt worth it, doesnt mean another person wouldnt like it.
ive had people try to talk me out of great games.
just mind your business next time.
I dont try to talk people out of an xbox1 just because i think its not worth it.just

I tried a new Gamestop a few weeks ago and the workers were surprisingly chill and friendly. Never pushed anything, always answered questions, made sure I was informed about my purchase. Complete opposite of what I'm used to.

I think they go against corporate policy in how to deal with customers, because I actually felt respected.

When I picked up The Order the clerk handed me my receipt and said the following: "We heard from a few people that the code on the reciept isn't working, it might have to do with PsN updating on Tuesdays  and this game is a Friday release, which is not the norm. If you ever come in again feel free to let me know how it went for you. It would be great if I knew exactly how those are handled, that way I can let people know when they pick up the odd Friday releases.

He didn't have to do that, but he did and it shows he listens to what the customers tell him and that he actually gives a damn.

The people at my local GameStop are really good people.

It's just like any other store you get the good and  the bad , I'm lucky mines good .

because I was a good customer the manager gave me an automatic 20% anything I bought including stuff already discounted , he just typed in instore discount and when he left ,the other's did deals not so much now with the black  card  but they look out for me tell me what they see in their previews and ask me my advice on certain games  , So I've been lucky and know every store isn't like mine.

but still with the staff turn over no one seems to last more than a couple of years ,  I make an effort to get to know the staff talk games with them and pretty soon the company driven practices like trying to sell you a used copy of a game you are buying new or pushing pre orders soon stops.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

That's because you're, apparently, a moderately attractive female and no guy that's worked at a gamestop has ever had even an ounce of game in their lives.  You'd probably be lucky to even get half a second of eye contact from a dude as you're checking out before he turns his gaze down sheepishly, blushing as he asks if you wanted to make any preorders under his breath, let alone go for the hard sell.  It takes the cold confidence of a sociopath to look someone in the face and say some shit like, "Oh, I think you'll really enjoy the subtle nuances of Ride to Hell: Retribution."

How to buy at Gamestop.

1. Go in

2. Ignore everyone around you

3. Find and ask for the game

4. Deny any "Want this and this?

5. Pay

6. Leave

Not that hard to do, been shopping at gamestop for years and have had no problems. Granted that I'm a person who doesn't sell their games and buys new 60$ games from them.
