This is both disgusting and sad.

If you want to learn a little bit about this hateful, lying propaganda, start here:

Wow!  I went followed the link and read the text and the writers opinions.  I feel sorry for anyone that reads each one of these excerts and only comes to the conclusion of the writer.  You can come to her conclusions, but to say that was THE only way to take that text is laughable.  She will need to pull a lot more quotes from the book to convince me.  But, she did the same thing the movie makers did, she took what she wanted and left the rest.

Everyone has an agenda.  I suggest reading the book yourself before taking a half dozen paragraphs out of context and believing it.  All she has done is make me want to read the book to see what she skipped or is leaving out.

It is near the end of the end....

I agree with her but some of those quotes were ridiculous. What's wrong with wanting to protect your country (which one of his quotes were). However I think most of the reasons he was making are bullshit. I don't really think he's doing to protect his country like he said. I mean who would admit that they like killing, Arabs, Muslims, people. No one that's smart after all. I don't really have conclusive evidence but his tone and past experience tells me what I'm thinking is true

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

Its called the midwest effect.

last time it happened was with Lone Survivor. Before that, No Country for Old men and Legally Blonde.

Not taking anything away from the movie, but its not very surprising for it to be grossing so well. Oscar buzz is a great boost too.

It's an old people movie, and old phone don't always go opening weekend. I expect legs.

I did see it over the weekend and I was overall impressed at the film itself. Whether I thought it was propaganda or not is a different discussion.

I bet if it was just called sniper, it wouldn't get as much attention as it is. Looks like a good movie, just not my type of movie.

"Trick shot? The trick is NOT to get shot." - Lucian

for an r-rated flick, that's pretty impressive.
I just think it's sad that I saw a whole crew of kids in the front row at my theater...with their parents at their side!
I was like....wtf, seriously?

Well, it's directed by Clint Eastwood.

What's left to say about it? Everything Clint does becomes gold.

He is a treasure. Very few people have ever had the instinctive understanding of action movies that he has, and almost none of them could imbue them with the real sense of sorrow that he does. Unforgiven is the greatest western ever!

Unless you're being sarcastic in a very subtle, clever way, I do agree with you. In fact, I also consider Unforgiven the best western ever. Million Dollar Baby left me devastated when I watched it as a kid. And Gran Torino is just awesome.

I've yet to see Letters from Iwo Jima (and Flags of our Fathers) to see if they dethrone Saving Private Ryan of my favourite war-related movie.
