Forums - Gaming Discussion - Switched my console of choice for the 1st time in 18 years - Part 2

Hello All

Well, in June 2014, I made a thread that stated I was selling my Wii U in order to get a PS4 after 18 years of being a Nintendo-only gamer. I was asked by a member on VGC (forget who) to give an update once I've had my PS4 for the same amount of time as I had the Wii U. This is to see if I got bored with the PS4 after the "new" factor went away. This is that update...

The PS4 seems to get better as the months go on. I have found that I am a PS fan & am excited to try out the new games that will be coming In 2015. I played and beat both InFamous Second Son & The Last Of Us R.

InFamous was great and was quite new for me. I had issues with the controls at first but all was good in the end. It made me realize that just because a game has a story and cutscenes, it doesn't make it bad. It actually can enhance the atmosphere of the game. Had a few bugs that would make the bosses disappear but I found this to be more funny than frustrating

As for The Last Of Us? It was incredible & much better than I could've imagined. Having little hype going in, it definitely took me by surprise. The whole "it's a movie not a game" thing wasn't true at all in my experience. I truly would give it a perfect 10

I have zero intention on selling it and am enjoying the free PS+ games & just started playing LBP3

With all this said, if you haven't heard, I did get a Wii U again in December so it's all good on that front too. Currently enjoying Mario Kart all over again

So is the ps4 your main and the wii u your secondary or is it the other wa? :D I really liked TLOU. Wish more games like it would come out.

Never again leave the quality of nintendo.

This is the thread you should have made rather than declaring yourself to be a Wii U owner again. Hence my frustration in the previous thread.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I'm hoping to use them both equally if I can

We'll see how that works out though

PS4 and Wii U. What a beautiful combination for those who have time for both. Glad you are enjoying yourself and I guarantee you there are a shit ton of games on Playstation (many would be PS3 due to the newness of the PS4) that you would absolutely love. If you want a darker adventure than the last of us buy metro: redux. It is 2 games in one (2033 is the first) and it's cheap on the PSN store.

Anyway I wanted to make a thread telling Nintendo only gamers they should give the PS4 a try and will probably love it. But it would probably come accross as condensending and/or trolling so i've decided not too.

Enjoy man. Tlou is a game like no other! It really wowed me in every way.

TLOU is love, TLOU is life

Glad to here you're enjoying your PS4. How is LBP3? I hadn't had a chance to try it yet, but i enjoyed the previous two.

Whats the next PS4 game you think ull get?
