I'm on the fense on it still but I want to support new IP's this gen. It looks interesting but I'm not sure if it's my type of game. Only RPG's I've played are Paper Mario, Pokemon...

The Legend of Dragoon. Nothing can top it, not even the likes of TLOU xD (PS1 game if you dunno). Also, I wish you had a PS3 so I could give some game names for you to check, there's tons of them that are amazing. Keep and eye for the amazing PS4 games coming this year. |
Yeah, I've never heard of it
We have PS Now. Let's hope that they extend the library a lot
I will definitely be keeping an eye out on a variety of games and try to choose the best ones
Gratz for your duo. I will do that too. Already have my Wii U and i will get PS4 whenever something i really want gets released (Silent Hills, maybe a good Final Fantasy). I want to play Bloodborne too, but not enought to buy the console now.
That said, I will never understand the love TLoU gets. Ni No Kuni (PS3) impressed me way more in 2013. A good game nevertheless.

To each their own. I liked it because of the survival + Stealth elements. I thought they went nice together. Plus, the story / character development was top notch
I heard people mention Ni No Kuni a lot but of course never played it. Hopefully, I can try it someday
I was a Nintendo-only gamer from 1988 to 2001. Sure I owned a Master System, Genesis, and Game Gear. But I had less than 5 games on each and didn't like them much. I picked up PS1 because I wanted Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style. Not a good game but was (and still am) a huge Wu-Tang fan. It is the only game I've ever owned for PSOne and consider PS1 to be the worse game system ever. Hence why I've only owned 1 game (and yes I've played many others on my friends' PSOnes).
But while the PS2 craze was still at its height, my older brother (may he R.I.P. - He passed away 10/30/14 at the young age of 33) surprised me with a PS2 for Christmas. That's when I switched to PS over Nintendo. Summoner 2 and Dark Cloud are the major reasons for my change. I was such a Nintendo fanboy up until that console. I was actually upset that PS2 was getting so much attention over N64. I can honestly say now that the only console I'd never own is a Nintendo console. It has changed, and not for the better IMO.
PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS
A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

I wish I could play a demo of FF. Everyone says it's such a great IP but it doesn't look like the type of game I'd enjoy...
maybe a FF will come to PS Now so I can see if it's any good before I just jump into it on the PS4

Sorry to hear about your bro
Yes, I'm finding out that the PS brand has a lot to offer me. I still have a soft spot for Nintendo though. It'll be interesting to see which console I end up liking more in the end. I'll have to update the thread

Blame my parents. My mom had a S Genesis so that was our first game console. They picked the N64 over the Saturn for us kids for whatever reason. I could've been a Sega fanboy
