I quite enjoyed it actually for what it was and I can TOTALLY understand from North Korea's perspective why they were pissy about the movie. It is after all a dictatorship where the mere act of questioning the government is a huge no-no, let alone what is portrayed in the movie (I won't say any more as I want to keep this spoiler free)

Meh. Few funny parts but James Franco isn't funny.

I liked it quite a bit. It got less funny for me close to halfway through. Can't say what scene, it could be a spoiler. But I recommend it if you like Rogan/Franco's previous tandems or are a comedy movie fan. And really, just in general. Solid.

After all the controversy

Thought it was funny at times but it was pretty much garbage with alot of forced gags ....2/5 stars

I'm sure Obama would actually have a good sense of humor about it though, it's not like it's a serious movie. Why would anyone take a comedy serious?

So how many of those movies had the killers of the US president being the "good guys"?

"Good guys" killing the head of state of a country other than the US -> Hollywood propaganda, probably advocating current Washington policy

"Bad guys" killing the head of state of the US -> Same thing

I watched it expecting it to majorly suck, so I was pleasantly surprised. The first 30ish minutes are truly boring, but later on there are some good moments. It deserves about 6/10.
