3DS is doing well, but Smash is disappointing. Hopefully it'll hold up well over the next few weeks, but I think those numbers--and the small hardware boost--are fairly poor.

At this rate, japan is doomed for anything not named 3ds.

MC's old 3DS numbers must be wrong... Or they tracked a clearance that Famitsu didn't track.

Hardware besides 3DS is awful, Wii U half of last year, PS3 + PS4 worse than PS3 last year.

Captain Toad has pretty long legs, lol.

Also there has to be some kind of mistake with the 3DS hardware tracking of one of the 2 trackers, the difference is massive (~50k)

Lots of movies/lines/this this week. Smash did okay imo, about the same as the original on N64 in its first week in Japan, plus digital, especially considering there's already a 3DS version.

Also, Wii U above PS4 again; incoming doctre81 video in 3, 2, 1...

Seriously though; Japan is just sad to watch now, there is nothing interesting going on and the numbers are miles and miles beyond ridiculous compared to the Western markets.

And the battle for PS4 to surpass Wii U is interesting in Japan ^^'.

Looks like Smash 3DS really did hurt Smash U in Japan.

Wow thats is really low for smash, definitely a flop, only 2/3 of Mario Kart 8's first week? That's not good at all and especially considering this is December plus Smash is much more front loaded, I don't think it can even reach 750k sold in Japan.
