Forums - Gaming Discussion - One year later who has the better software library overall PS4 or Xbox one?

Which console has the better software lineup so far?

Xbox One 387 51.33%

PS4 367 48.67%

Total:754

I'm kinda confused why MS seem to think they have so many games for next year that they had to delay them. Only ones I'm looking forward to are Halo 5 and Quantum Theory.

Sony and MS seem about equal on software for both new IP and sequels for next year. Currently, no contest, X1 takes it.

If you add the amount of retail exclusives between only the PS4 and Xbox One, the PS4 has a larger line up. Additionally if you add the digital games the PS4 has over the Xbox One, the PS4 has more exclusives on that front as well.

If you go exclusively by retail titles, it's which games interest you the most?

Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Forza Horizon 2, Titanfall, Halo MCC, and Sunset Overdrive? Xbox One.

Killzone Shadowfall, Knack, Infamous Second Son, MLB14 The Show, The Last of Us, LittleBigPlanet 3, and DriveClub? PS4.

Without Bloodborne which comes out four months from now, the PS4 has a bit more diversity compared to the Xbox One.

Xbox One

Overall PS4. If we consider (true) exclusive games only, then XboxOne (actually Wii U, but this is a PS4vsOne thread, right?). I voted PS4, since the OP didn't explicitly say if we should only consider exclusives or not.

Of course, let's wait a few months and Bloodborne and TO may turn the tide.

listwar.com will explain this well enough. I've greatly enjoyed some exclusives on my PS4 and WiiU this year and while Sunset looks fun nothing else has really interested me.

Xbox one > PS4 > Wii U. Yes I'm counting multiplatform games as they are as valid as exclusives. Multiplatform can be system seller in the same degree as exclusives.

As much as it pains me to say it, XBone.

Xbox One, not even a competition.

Well first thing is, do you trust the users giving their opinions?

This is just my opinion but I dont believe PS4 is selling because its exclusives, but rather momentum, hype, and brand name.  Microsoft helped with that hurting their name for the last few years and destroying it last year's E3 with the reveal of Xbox One.

Sony on the other hand has gained trust in the last few years, but when it comes down to it i find their first year for PS4 to be weak and a weak year at capitilizing on their momentum.  Next year their library looks better with games such as Bloodborne and Uncharted though.

So with that said,  Xbox One this year.  Next year id say it could go either way depending on what you like.

But what all these threads usually come down to is blind opinions
