Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Majora's Mask 3D is doomed to be critically panned...

Just recently Aonuma has confirmed that Majora's Mask will have two ponds added into the game in order to go fishing.
Now while some may find this to be good news (what with new content and all), this does not apply for the gaming journalist agenda.

On top of this all this, Majora's Mask already has an expansive beach to explore; this game will likely have too much water.

This game will no doubtedly be torn apart at IGN.

A game already ripe with plenty of water - adding more water into the mix is suicide if it wants to go up against credible gaming journalism.

What do you think?

Do you think we should change the discourse of water in video games?
Should water become a limited asset within gaming?
Will water go on to offend other means of entertainment such as the film and music industry?

5.8 confirmed! Fucking water! Who needs em

It's already hard to tell who's legitimately upset with the IGN review and who's just having some fun with it.

On a serious note I was expecting the game to not get such hot reviews but Aonuma's comments give me hope.

I feel like this joke has gone far enough.
Everybody remember back to when platformers had water sections that were tedious? The majority of them were and we treated them as negatives.
It's a legitimate complaint.....

Water wasn't an issue in Majora' Mask though...... For me at least.

I hate water so much, devs should spend more time trying to reduce the amount of water in there games then trying to improve the resolution or frame rate. Wave Race is the worst game I've ever played, it's like they didn't even try.

I am not upset, although I do find this complaint to be redundant due to the game being based in the tropics.
It is like being annoyed at a Super Hero movie for having too many super hero costumes in it, or something to that effect. I know I could think of a better analogy but that will do haha.

What Aonuma has said about Majora's Mask 3D is very interesting and it sounds like they have put in more time into this remake than the original game itself.

Was the water even an issue? The issue was the slow start for me.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Beach & Swamp + two extra ponds = Way too much water 6.8/10

1/4 of the game's temples use a water based boss.

You'd think with the distinct lack of water compared to other titles in the series that Assassins Creed Unity would have reviewed well. Clear proof that Ubisoft ran out of money to bribe reviewers with.
