Also, Sunset Overdrive is falling like a rock. I had a feeling it would get lost in the holiday shuffle.

erm, no.

Thats two tries you have had in this thread now.

Its fallen 13 places.  There are 9 new entries and 4 versions of COD in that 13. lol.

2 tries?  at what, commenting in a thread?   Someone's on the defensive today, keep putting out those fires Kowen. It's always a good laugh watching your hypocritical comments especially with your inevitable "where's Driveclub?" comments week over week.  Thanks for the laugh this AM.   :)

If you take out the 9 new releases ahead of it, it lost 3 positions, not exactly falling like a rock.

Whether you make up some equation in your head to help make it look better , it still flopped in the UK and is falling down the list. Doesn't look like the UK embraced it at all. Sounds pretty poor if you have to say, well take this game off the list, ignore this one, this one and this one over and hey it looks good.

Oh, are you telling me to ignore the fact that they are new releases, and their pre orders? Ok, always learning.

So to be "embraced" you need to beat blockbusters new releases every week. I'm out, thanks for the lesson sir.

good point... where is it?

now thats a rock.

Its at 37 in the all formats charts. Far from a rock, its over a month old unlike SO.

Looks very good for PS4 and Xbox One. Next year it will increase more. Halo MCC did well as expected.

No, usually when the UK embraces a new game it generally sells more than this and you're welcome.  :)

So, MCC is at about 100K, which is less than half of what CoD:AW did on XOne last week.

Puts in line those predictions of 500-800K in the US in more realistic perspective, giving no chance for that game to sell over 1M, as some wishful thinkers here were predicting, preemptivelly calling out VGC for undertracking.

Also, the collection is dwarfed by Destiny, Titanfall and Watch Dogs, which obviously shows that people want new, exciting games rather than a collection that they already played to death on older consoles.
I expect a huge decline next week, partly due to strong new releases, and partly due to half the game not working properly.

MCC entered at third and was the 7th biggest launch of any publisher, on just one title.

UK sales overall must have been monstrous this week...

Let's curb the enthusiasm a tad. Sure it's a very good launch for a remakes and remasters collection but it's not blow your mind amazeballs.

Biggest Xb one launch for a MS published game, which means >62K. 7th best Xb one means less than CoD Ghosts, which on VGC is at 67K. That suggests a ~65K start.

But that would mean Ass Creed PS4 is less than that. Which seems a bit low. Considering doing the calcs for Ass Creed U comes to 150K for all formats (based on VGC numbders for CoD AW, which means 83K for PS4. On VGC that would make MCC the 6th best Xb one launch just behind Fifa 14.

No doubt GFK has the right of it with this data. So it will be interesting to see how or whether VGC reconciles this connundrum.

I personally would have pegged MCC at 100K for the UK, and if we go by VGC numbers for CoD AW it's likely to be close to that, but not much over.

At ~100k that's a bit less than 1/3 of Halo 4. If that's a sign of its LTD potential then in the UK it's headed for about 350K lifetime. Possibly 400K if we consider a growing install base will give it relatively better legs.

Dangerous to project it to a global picture, but 1/3 of Halo 4 would bring MCC in at ~3 million, which is lower than my guess of 5 million. But again growing install base could see it get better sales than that.

I expect with the aid of MCC Xb one would probably sell more hardware than PS4 for the week since the PS4 drop from CoD will be greater and CoD week hardware was close.

With 8 new entrants for the week it's interesting to see how much some games moved down the list:

Destiny down 8, so basically holds steady compared to non-new releases. Same with Fifa PS3, the PS3 and 4 minecrafts, FH2 360, Disney infinity only down 7 places. FH2 Xb one down 16 places. Sunset Overdrive down 13 places.

Disappointing MCC sales for sure. Should've had a launch near 200k...but 7th highest Xbone launch??! Behind the likes of watchdogs (X1)?!! That sucks

Is it behind Watch Dogs?

88k < MCC < 105k

The range now is close.

But we know its the 7th highest launch for an Xbone game..that is really not good. Presumably watchdogs is one of the 6 that are higher?

Ahh I see I had misread. 7th biggest X1 launch!

My point was more that overall software sales must have been high this week!

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

Hard to tell if PES 15 bombed or not. PES 14 sold 10k (PS3) and PES 12 and PES 13(PS3) sold 23k.

Anyone got any rougtly numbers on PES 15?
