Forums - Gaming Discussion - reluctant to purchase PS Plus because of too many issues

I own a x1, and have owned a PS4 for about 2 months now but I am very reluctant to purchasing PS Plus becuase it seems as though their network has been down 3 or 4 times since I owned the system.  Does anyone else feel this way??? I feel like I will be buying something thats broken and seems like there has been no differnece since it was free on the PS3 (same service).  Let me know what you guys think

What really sucks is that these new consoles are weak with out the online features

Do you not play online && not interested in the IGC games? Don't buy.
Play online and/or like the IGC games? Buy ps plus.
Or buy a 1/3 months

Do you pay XBL Gold for online multiplayer?
If yes, there is no reason for you to pay another subscription. Use XOne to play multiplayer games, and on PS4 just play single player and/or exclusives, and you're set...

They do need to do some work on their network.

But Psplus offers a better value, even with the few bugs/maintenance.

i think this is the route I am taking

Kinda sucks though, I mean I really dont mind paying for the service  but I hate to buy something that a lot of people seem to have confidence in.

I don't think it does...

I guess it's subjective, but on both consoles you get 2 free games per month, it just depends which games you like more...

I originally was typing out a really long rant as to why you shouldn't buy PS+ but decided not to post that. Instead I'll just ask if you play MP a lot because the free games aren't much of an incentive right now. Also yes I agree, it feels like they haven't put in the effort to make the network as stable as possible (if they did they wouldn't be down so often or have network issues on certain games)

So in review if you play MP a lot then you really have no choice but if your Xbox One serves as your main MP machine then I'd avoid PS+ all together.

Well I pay for PS+ for free games.

Unfortunately, they have gone the cheap route and push indie games now. If I wanted indie games I'd just wait for a Steam or Humble Bundle sale.
