‘FIFA 15’ (-7%) holds on to No1 for a 5th consecutive week, the most of any title so far this year.

EA titles have been at No1 for 18 out of the 43 weeks so far in 2014, while for the whole of last year they only managed a total of 10 weeks. Sales of ‘Minecraft: Playstation Edition’ jump an impressive 82%, boosted by strong sales of the PS4 version, pushing it from No9 to No2. As a result, ‘The Evil Within’ (-64%) slips one place to No3, ahead of ‘Destiny’ which moves up 3 places to No4, sales only down by 9%. ‘Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor’ (-30%) drops one place to No5 ahead of ‘Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!’ which suffers a 62% fall in sales after its second week on release.

There are four new Top 40 titles this week, but only one makes the Top 10; Nintendo’s Wii U exclusive ‘Bayonetta 2’, debuting at No7. The latest in 2K Games and Firaxis’ pioneering PC gaming series ‘Civilization: Beyond Earth’ is the next highest new entry at No18, one spot ahead of another newcomer, Ubisoft’s ‘Just Dance 2015’ which was released across 6 formats with the original Wii version taking a 55% share. Sony’s flagship music title can’t top Ubisoft’s latest dancing one, with ‘Singstar: Ultimate Party’ making an appearance on PS4 and PS3 at No32.

Wow, Singstar seems to be a not-so-important-anymore-ip for PS brand.
I remember how big this stuff was at PS2 times, almost everyone I knew who had a PS2 had Singstar at home.

Minecraft ps4 jumped with the new Fifa + minecraft bundle (which retails at the same price as the Xbox one Fifa bundle, really nice deal)

Isn't Singstar pre installed on PS3? With the ability to purchase whatever song you like seperately?

PS4 must of sold quite a bit last week! Those FIFA and Minecraft sales!

Not sure what to make of SingStar. On one hand the brand is definitely weaker than it once was (i think people are sick of gimmicky titles in general), but i wonder how many even know it's out. A stealth fighter would be jealous of how under the radar the new SingStar has been. It doesn't even have a metacritic or VGC page

I really thought Singstar is a digital only title...And I thought it's coming next week....I guess many others did as well...Not much marketing though, never really had any exposure.

It will probably do much better digitally, and it being very cheap for Sony to make, they will certainly make a lot of money on song downloads.

I am more shocked at the horrible bomb Just Dance is...on 6 platforms, yet Wii taking 55%. It is obvious that the motion craze (and rhythm-dance craze) is officially over, with Kinect dead as a doornail.  (This craze of course includes part of the reason for Singstar's poor numbers, exceptr those in previous paragraph)

So, Bayonetta 2 at about 12K...  Not a very promising number...

That PS4 bundle must of been a big mover.

Why is Driveclub not out of the top 40? Surly the mainstream buyer has received the bad press of the game from online forums.

Borderlands is on three systems though...
